It's an 85 but the PO "updated" it by putting on newer bumper covers (poorly) and it's also badged as a 3.2.
Sorry but I totally disagree ! The 348 wheels are unsurpassed on the Mondial. I had them on mine and if I'd buy another Mondial I would do the same.
I understand the attraction in the old days when the TRX tyres were difficult to get hold of. Why compromise the ride to save a few quid? Actually they TRX currently are a bargain https://www.longstonetyres.co.uk/classic-car-tyres/ferrari/mondial.html the TRX tyres are also pretty exceptional equipment. it is a sacrefice to save money fitting bigger wheels and mopdern tyres that dont handle as well on your car.
I do not agree on the handling bit. @Anyone with 348 tires: Issues with the speedo showing less speed that acutally driving with standard 348 tires?
A 348 is a different car to a Mondial. It has different geometry, spring stiffness, camber, caster, etc and therefore suits a different wheel and tyre. I have had people claim that a 17" tyre can give a better ride than a 390mm TRX, which is of course wrong.
100% A Mondial looks best with original wheels and TRX tyres. And they are a great tyre for the car Any other wheel/tyre combo looks ungainly Image Unavailable, Please Login
360 modulars are worth the extra work. It only costs a little more to go first class. Image Unavailable, Please Login
What kind of bolts are you guys using? Looking to put 348 wheels on a mondial 3.2 with abs. i’ve been reading all sorts of stuff on the forum about how the stock 348 bolts are too short. Does someone know a good aftermarket option? Thanks
I bought some on ebay described as "20x Chrome 14x1.5 Cone Seat Lug Bolt 60mm" from CTM Wheel which had an ebay item number of 384996242990. They were reasonably priced and were long enough to fully engage the hub but not so long that they interfered with anything.
That should work i guess. Gonna check with my local auto parts store. A ferrari parts store nearby suggested 456 bolts as they have a 56mm shaft. They are quite expensive though.
