newgarten gets a nudge from herta.....nearly stalls the car.. goes to 4th.
A pretty good race with mercifully few cautions. Incredibly competitive field, F1 could learn something--but won't.

Great insight from Marshall Pruett. I honestly had no idea how that system was administered. https://racer.com/2024/04/24/how-team-penske-took-push-to-pass-beyond-the-limit/
One would have to thing that the IndyCar officials were, politically between a rock and a hard place. I'm sure Penske's ownership of the series came into the thought process here. But the good news is that they eventually came to the proper decision.

Full Newgarden press conference today featuring multiple crocodile tears from Newgarden. The more he talks the more he buries himself. Interesting to hear what he said about his talk with Roger regarding this.
I kinda feel bad for Will Power losing the 10 championship points for NOT cheating. All for the team getting fined sine they ****ed up. But he raced by the rules and shouldn't lose points for that.
Everytime I see them race at Barber I really want to drive there eventually, a single seater preferably, IMO the best natural road course in North America with Mont Tremblant, in beautiful nature, outstanding. I love Elkhart and drove an F50 there, albeit just fast parade laps, but this is a level above. Bucket list!
I went yesterday. First time for an event, but I'd been to the museum before. It's surprisingly compact, and there's a viewing area where you can see a LOT of the track... sjd
