Hey all. I wanted to hear some opinions to see if my thinking is in line with other 456 owners. We have all see the gorgeous Schedoni 456 luggage sets which rarely come around and frequently sell for $5000-7500. YES, it is a lovely set and there is much to be admired. But honestly, will you ever use it? and do you really want to carry your bags?. Nowadays with rolling luggage and carry-ons there is simply NO WAY I'm carrying a bag.

SO...I thought about commissioning a designer or a professional upholstery person or even a luggage company to 'finish in leather' a set of newer modern current rolling luggage; these would be bags that not only have actual utility, but also possess expected Ferrari beauty to match our automobiles.

BUT... before I embark on this journey I wanted to see if others felt similar to me; if other owners would pay for this we may be able to get a 'bulk pricing' - like if we had 10 or 20 sets made we might save 10-20%.

Anyway this is obviously not a critical issue but if/when I ever take my car for a weekender I'm surely not bringing the Schedoni's! (note - I don't even own the set....)

    thoughts.....

OEM $6K luggage would be for show and resale. High quality custom luggages that are made to fit the trunk perfectly I would absolutely use them.

Maybe you had seen my post as well….

If I did an overnight or long weekend in my Ferrari I’d probably be ok carrying it and not rolling but most of the luggage sets are perfect and not “driver quality”.

That’s crazy! I actually did not see your post, but my point exactly! I guess great minds think alike. And there’s probably more of us than we think/know. So lets do it!

    Ill piss in the Cheerios....

I guess i dont get it. As nice as it could be, it'll never be Schedoni or a real factory option.

Even taking the car for a quick overnight or longer getaway, ill use my regular luggage. Dont want specialty bags to store or haul around. I'm also ok if my bellman or other hotel lobby staff doesn't notice what my toiletries are packed up in.

Then again I haul my rollerboard bags around weekly professionally, if its not functional i really dont care.

Unless I really come across a steal on a factory set, its just not something that remotely interests me.

:) It’s all good. I can totally see your point too. That’s why I set up the vote! I guess I have trouble seeing the value (monetarily or emotionally) of an accessory (authentic or otherwise) that’ll never be used.
    anyway cheers
