New 430 color that is just stunning. Apparently new paint technology allowing larger and more plentiful metal flake. Great variety of looks depending on lighting and angle.
If there are any european fchatters who have seen this at a dealer, PLEASE post some pics.

That's avaliable on the 612 as well. There is a fellow F-Chatter with a new 612 in that color with the mods, hes posted pics before....try a search, I think he lives in Washington.

I was thinking of getting rosso fiorano for my 430 but our dealer showed me it had been replaced by rubino. I saw the sample, I don't like it. It's also not new, a resurrection from maybe 5-7 years ago.

There is an owner of a rubino micalizzato 612 in the US Northwest section. Search in the NW post under 612. He posted some stunning shots, from various angles and lightings. It's a gorgeous color.

Thats interesting, ferrari dealer said it was new and involved new technology allowing the added metal flake. Customer had just ordered CS in the color, so it had been compared to all reds available. What model used it 5-7 years ago?

Here's where the confusion might be...years ago circa 1974, there was a color Rosso Rubino METAllizzato (vs MICAlizzato)....then only for the 612 Scaglietti, Ferrari added Rubino MICAlizzato to the line.

John, I think the pics were lost in the great Fchat server crash. Here are a few more.

I first saw this color on the 612 show car in New York a year ago or so. It was stunning. It looks for all the world like a maroon or other dark red in some lights. But in bright sunlight, or under bright halogen lighting, it just sparkles like, well, a ruby. I really was dead set against a red for my 612 until I saw this color on the car. The color is available on any Ferrari now. A neighbor ordered his 575 with it, and it looks good on that car, too.

Eric, that is one beautiful car. I usually don't like red for some reason on larger cars but the color, the wheels, very very nice.

Gary, its down to tdf, black or rm. Every time I see a nice car in one of those colors, I go "thats it, thats the one!". Then there is titanium which i love too..... maybe I should start an "all time favorite" ferrari color poll.

This is now my favorite color for the 612 :D
Beautiful pics! Any more? And perhaps high res?
