Finally got round to cleaning my car and taking some pics. Spent about 5/6 hours on the car and what a finish! The neighbours think i've gone a bit nuts to spend so much time cleaning it and then waxing it with my hands. I tried with the supplied pad but much easier by hand.

Overall im very happy. It was a lot to buy, but with the amount of wax used im sure it will last about 5 years. The down side is it takes so much time! Maybe its because im actually cleaning the car properly as opposed to soaping it up and hosing it down.

My kit cost £99 and came with everything. I went with the cheapest of the wax (Carbon - no affiliation with NNO) and the finish is better than Autoglym. I imagine the next clean will make the car look even better. The paint is now unbeleivably glossy and smooth. The colour looks richer too.

Anyway here are some long overdue pics of my car. Enjoy!

Never used Zymol, always used Auto Glym etc. You cant buy Zymol over a counter can you, it has to be ordered ? Was thinking of giving the 360 a good clean in the next few days !

I've always been an Autoglym man myself and will still use it on the other cars. But Zymol is better. I bought mine from a company called Parc Ferme. Here is their website.

    http://www.parcferme.co.uk/

I got the cheapest of the introductory kit for £99. it came with everything u need to clean and wax the car, including all the cloths. Sounds steep but the wax will last five years coz u use so little. The the costliest bit. Worth it on something like a Ferrari.

Yeah i was amazed by that. no red at all!

Ray I found that waxing by hand is easier than using their applicator. How do you do it? Plus how exactly is the best way to wax?

To get the best out of your carbon do it as follows:
put your pad in flat and turn it 1/12of a turn.( I have seen people scoop this out like sun cream)
It will look like there is hardly any on the pad, whats on there should do your bonnet and one or two of the wings.
smooth it over the panel following the lines of the car , leave it 10 seconds and then buff it in.
At first do a panel at a time until you get quick at it but dont let it dry.

Hope this helps old chap , if you need any more advice give me a bell
    Cheers

Cheers dave. I'll keep your number handy should i need it. I was putting on a bit more than that, but nowhere near as much as my wife uses moisturiser! Next time I wash it I presumably do Step 1, 2 and 3 again.
