Here's a question for you. On license plates are O and 0 (zero) all the same to reduce confusion?

I've never really paid attention, but don't remember seeing an O.

My plate looks like N3-blankblankblank, but there is actually a zero on the registration between the N and 3, that is NOT on the plate.

I forget what exactly was left out but either O or 0 are not used. I think the number 0 isn't as the letter O can be used to spell words. The same with Q, around here it isn't used, it looks too much like an O. In larger areas perhaps these values are used but I doubt it.

The letter O is ommited. They also never use it on the VIN number, nor will they use the letter i. It's always the number 1

Varies by state, maybe. CA has 'I', but 'O' and zero are the same.

    I can't remember what, my brother's tag(not custom) has either a 0 or 0.

Interesting. I think the I being omitted is just for the VIN numbers.
