Hey guys, No Ferraris here, but WOW, the skiing is awesome, here is a pic of the Matterhorn from the view of my chalet. Shot on my new Leica M8 with a 90mm Summarit lens. I had to crop and shrink the pic to post here, but you get the idea. These cameras are a pain to focus after a night of champagne and cheese fondue. Very old school photography, nothing like the Nikon D2XS I usually shoot with. Lucas, you would love it here !! Photo heaven.... Going to ski into Italy this morning, maybe I'll find a worthy car to photograph, not likely... Cheers to all Image Unavailable, Please Login
Been there once..................one of the most beautiful small towns! No car allowed..............only pedestrains and electrical carts!!! P.S. wonderful picture, Thanks for posting!
Nice pic of one of the most-photographed mountains on earth... here is another one of some famous mountains in CH (Eiger North Wall is to the left). You can actually go by train up to the ridge between the 2nd and 3rd peak (it's called the Jungfrau Joch). Image Unavailable, Please Login
Wow Scott, that looks amazing! Your always off to some crazy part of the world. Hope you have a safe trip and keep shooting!
looks great. Careful out there, I think Zermatt was the place where a guy got run over by the grooming machines and died. But no one went out and looked for him after he didnt return his rental equipment at the end of the day. Not to rain on your parade, have fun, be safe.
Wow...best skiing of my LIFE...I was the last person down the mountain, had it all to myself, skiied right into Zermatt, the light was incredible and the snow was perfect. Not a single car in a week, what a weird experience, train into Zurich tommorrow, camera at the ready, its car heaven in the summer... Got more pics of my Eleanor today, will post them shortly Cheers!
Snowboarding? I went snowboarding in Melbourne 2 years ago, it was awesome. Do a couple of hous of boarding, smash every part in your body then quickly run down to the nearest pub (in the mountains) and cool off... too bad your body aches afterwards lol
hey, whats the verticle drop of the mountain your are skiing ? looks crazy.... if you have time, please write up more details!
I was the last person down the mountain from the top, did 4000m straight into town...was incredible...and empty..
I think that 4000m was the actual elevation from where I disembarked, was to focused on the view, I could happily spend a month there every winter and go back for the hiking/biking in summer. Cheers!
