My mechanic is working on a 30k service for me which has ballooned out into much more. We're into re-assembly mode now, so I think we're on the right track. Luckily I followed his advice when he said we should pull the front cover off and look at the oil chain tensioners. Both of them were worn as hell, but this one is just damn scary. I would maybe guess this is normal. Once the side links wear in so far the rollers start hitting the block. Then the wear after that would be minimal. My guess? Rodney 1990 348 TS
It's the fact the plastic top guide is just about hanging off that worried me. The news ones Daniel from Ricambi sent me look nice and pretty, for the moment.
