I am thinking of selling my 2013 458 Spider. I am looking at getting a 488 GTB. I know, I know...... I have my reasons. I had an idea in mind on what to list my 458 at, but thought I would get some input. Somewhat light on options. Purchased four years ago from Scottsdale Ferrari (when it just came off its 7 years free Ferrari maintenance).

    - 27k miles
    - sport seats
    - carbon fiber LED steering wheel
    - carbon fiber center tunnel
    - Interior and exterior is in flawless condition (slight leather pull away on dash binnacle)
    - have all service records, books, both keys, Cytek AGM charger & Ferrari OEM charger, no car cover, key card...
    - 20" five spoke wheels
    - carbon fiber rear piece
    - after market: PPF front half, lowered .25 inches, tinted tail lights and side markers, 30% window tinting, BOVEE blue tooth hook up for audio.

I am thinking in around the $219k mark.

Too late, you must sell to me at $119k! :). In all seriousness, I think your price is about right, but I would remove the rear tail light smoke wrap for top dollar. Personally, I would not buy a car from someone that would do that. Why? Unfair? Probably because I associate those kind of modifications with someone reaching beyond their means, the whole "you can take the man away from the bus stop but can't take the bus stop out of the man" thing). It would make me think, unfairly I'm sure, that proper service was skipped because... Could/likely is unfair bias, but it is what it is. Others may feel the direct opposite.

The race seats support the value, despite higher miles, in my opinion. You may even get more. Start at $230k and settle for $219k.

Funny, the tinted lights were that way when I got it from Scottsdale Ferrari. I asked about having the film removed for the very same reasons you stated. You and I are some good old OEM guys. However, it was not a film. It was a permanent type application. That said..... after I spent time with the car, I kind of got it. It is such a clean paint color. So, the shields, wheel caps, seat belts, and tac dial are all yellow. It removes the red that takes away from the color scheme.

I didn't really notice the smoked lights at first. I like the monochromatic look but I've never seen it done to the headlights. Could be a problem for buyers from states with annual safety inspections (like TX for the next 12 months or so), but personally I'd put it up for sale as it is.

It's not on headlights. Those were untouched. The shade on the driveway makes it look that way.

For what it's worth, my 2012 458 spider also has "smoked" taillights. When I looked into removing it, I learned it was originally specified this way BY FERRARI, as my car was originally a display car for Ferrari Manhattan. Moreover, it is not film--it is paint. To remove it, the taillights would have had to be sanded down, and it probably would have ruined them. Other option is to replace them. I just left it as-is and don't mind. Perhaps its just a sign of what was popular in the early 2010s.

Yeah, Scottsdale Ferrari told me it was paint as well. Would have to replace both units to have red again.

Awesome color combo. My favorite. I'd aim higher than what you may think due to how sharp and clean it looks, even with the higher miles.

    good luck!

That may be the number considering today s ugly market. If it’s a clean deal it may be worth revisiting and be done with it. By the way the car looks spectacular. GLWS.
