Anyone's post you alway click in Racing topics? And why? I'll start with a couple, Brian S, because he worked for a prof race team and is very knowledgable. Been there done that. Also Tifosiron, anyone have any more vintage photos than that guy?!
Anyone with something intelligent to say. It's always fun to talk about our sport with someone that knows what they are talking about, whether you agree with them or not.
T12 is always insightful and lays down the law. T-Ron and Senna3xWC are hilarious. YellowbirdRS posts some of the greatest threads with all the pics. Senna1994, Remy Zero, is pretty good too. Anyone with a Kimi avatar so Tifosi12, Yzee, R2112.
Thanks man my vote goes to Tifosiron, Carol, Senna1994, Kraftwerk, Tifosi12, YellowBirdRS, DGS..and some whom i can't remember now
Me too, although I probably should not feed your outrageous ego any more than necessary. Lolaman has been known to play a song or two. And there are others. I guess this thread should distinguish between actually racing and talking about other people racing. Dale
Actually, Dale, my ego can't get any bigger. I've really hit the wall on that, so no worries. Seriously, I enjoy your questions in this section because they're sincere and have some thought behind them. Speaking of Lolaman, he owes me an email...
+1 There are too many folks on this board whose opinions I value and respect (yours among them, Luis), I wouldn't want to start listing them for fear of excluding anyone unintentionally.
Thanks for the replies. I agree there are many well informed and interesting folks in this section, listing a few in no way means to exclude the many. One new poster I enjoy reading is ZUL8TR. When he goes to the races he rents the headset scanners, tries to get access, tapes and watches the replays when he gets home, etc... That often produces some info that many of us would not hear during the course of an event. On the lighter side, I sometimes miss Chaparallman and BSL, but for completely different reasons!
Great to have debate with some great friend's, lot's of bit's of info from everyone, add's great help in understanding this unnecessarily complex ruled sport, that being said the amount of information you need to have before you can even begin to have an informed opinion is too much, but who bloody cares, it makes for good debate. I have not got a great memory, but some guy's on here amaze me, whether they google it, or off the top of there heads I don't know but there F1 history is great. Of course we all have are favourites, but like posted, too many to just single anyone out ,ditto and thank's to all that highlighted myself. SRTMike, can be long winded but I have a job disagreeing with him..
The nice thing about the racing section is the posters are genuine enthusiats. Very rarely are people banned from this section; and none of the juvenile Ferrari vs. Lambo stuff....
My favourite racing posters are those guys who have been around for a long time and can put things into perspective. I don't want to be the only old fart on here who romanticizes the turbo days, who dreams of slicks and thinks real men have a drink or a smoke (or both) before a race (well some still do apparently...). Also like any good plot, you can never do without the "villains". So a chat site would be dull as F1 press releases if we'd all agree on the same drivers etc. I disagree with a bunch of folks on here, but believe me, if you guys weren't around, it wouldn't be half the fun. After all, somebody needs to receive the annual crow awards. To put it differently: I have difficulties with "Ferrari fans" who don't follow F1 (or any other racing form Ferrari participates in). To me F1 and Ferrari is inseparable. PS: Special thanks to those who mentioned me.
There's no way I could list a favorite. I honestly thank and appreciate all of you and your thoughts, opinions, stories, experiences and photos........some more than others. So many of you guys and ladies are incredibly informative, intelligent and also very entertaining. There's no other site on the internet that I'm more interested to check than the Racing Section on FChat.
Remy Zero (Brian) I lurk around in racing threads far more than posting. I guess I should work on that.
