Yup, 599 is much larger with a 2750 mm wheelbase vs 2500 mm for the Maranellos. Because of the aluminum chassis, though, they weigh about the same. Part of the lengthened wheelbase was to get better weight distribution by allowing the engine to sit further back in the chassis.
Just my opinion and I know that you didn’t ask, but the 599 is a car that is an acquired taste that I just can’t acquire. Like old cheese... sophisticated to some, YUCK to me.
This describes my preferences and shopping experience. Grigio Titanio was my first choice, and TDF was #2. Luckily the Grigio Titanio deal worked out, and no police trouble in all of the daily driven 7000 miles I’ve put on it. Knock on wood, but it is amazing how well it blends in.
No one mentioned Blu Pozzi here. What do you think? It can change from black to purple to medium blue depending on light... Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Blu Pozzi is my favorite. Definitely influenced by your pictures Eric and the stunning backdrops! The Maranellos look great in all colors but my preference is for darker vs lighter on the 456.
550 wears all colors really well, plus some of the color combinations on the road are stunning, TDF blue on crema or cuio, Grigio on red etc... the lines of the car while conservative are beautiful. Im partial to Rosso because for starters that's what I have but also because Rosso Corsa has more history than just Magnum PI. In the golden days of motor racing the colors of the cars represented their country of origin. Italy was red hence Rosso Corsa, France was blue hence TDF blue, England was green giving us British racing green... and so on.
Yes. That's what mine does, Erik... Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login She's a rainbow.
Not many mentions of Rosso Fiorano. Here’s mine: Rosso Fiorano, Cuoio, quilted ceiling and shelf, Daytonas, shields, Barchetta wheels (original to the car). Ruben Image Unavailable, Please Login
Your 550 is beautiful in Rosso Fiorano, Ruben! This is what an F355 Challenge looks like in that same color... Image Unavailable, Please Login

My favourite colour however is Azzuro California for a 575 or 550 however I have not seen one yet down-under.
I like the orange. I had a Dino in Rosso Dino, which is red-orange, and this one looks more orange-red.
I agree! Azzuro California is my favorite color! With cream and blue interior ! Crema luggage.575 6-speed. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
