I'll admit I am possibly the worlds worst for waxing and polishing my cars and the Ferrari is no exception. If they get really dirty I'll wash them, but my old dad always used to say washing only helps you cars rust :)

I've decided that since my old 328 is in such good nick that it deserves some TLC every now and again. So I need some advice. I've checked in the other sections about polishing etc, but to be honest there is so much info my head is starting to hurt. So to avoid a repost in the Tech or main forums, I'll ask here in the little ol' euro section.

What are your polishing regimes? What products do you use in what order?

    Cheers
    Simon

Yes, Trevi's car is a special case :D

But what products do you use specifically and in what order.
There are so many polishes and waxes and car shampoos from each manufacturer.

    Good question.
Same prob here......searched the treads but so much (different) info I really don't know it anymore. But to be honest, I am not a real cleaner/polisher.
I think I never polished 1 car in my life.
The Mondial is washed by hand maybe 3 times this summer. (only water and a little soap).
Think it deserves a nice treath at the beginning of the new season.
So please come on with the answers.

You sound exactly the same as me Roel.
After I wash it I usually use a quick, random supermarket polish to shine it up but I have never taken the time to really treat the car. I have some work to do this spring, cam belts, tensioners and cam seal and thought a nice clean up afterwards would be the final touch.

    That's not washing....that's pampering!!

Eugenio, I don't want to know what others do, I want to know what you guys do...real people who have jobs and can't afford to polish a car for 6 weeks before a concours. BTW how dusty do you think your 328 is now? ;)

Quite dusty, i fear... I decided to put just a very light cover on it in order to avoid moisture gathering. Even if the garage is humidity controlled, you never know...
    Ciao
    Eugenio.

BTW, my regime ni Manila is a little different. The driver washes the car every morning and waxes it every two weeks :D

The Swissol concorso wax is very expensive. I use the Swissol scuderia wax with more than 40% carnauba. Als not cheap but definitely a better price / quality balance. The Swissol products are great products.

For the rest of the story follow Wolfgang's thread. I only wonder how I must use it all in one direction? :)

Ah....., the operating instructions of the wax! Yes, maybe I should read that booklet once! :)
I just put it on and polish it in a million directions. The result is still fantastic! :)

Impossible!!! I swore you - even sometimes more/longer!

Don`t forget to drive the car DRY after the "wash" part and before you polish the car!!!!
.........sometimes this "drive dry" part takes alone 2 hours ;)

Usual I need 1 day for wash & polishing and the next day for inside, wheels and engine bay.

ofcours there is a quick way to clean your car:

    1. Go to the carwash takes 10 minits. and after that.
    2. Drive fast in going home ( don't forget to bring the parts that has fallen
of your car in the carwash ) because your car have to be dry.
    3. At home start with waxing your car because by know he is already dry this
    takes 1/2 hour.
    4. When ready with waxing, start with cleaning the car with a towel 1/2 hour.
    5. This takes let say a total of 1 1/2 hour. and you are ready.

P.S. This is not the way I'm doing that. I'm using the products from Meguiars.

Does anybody bring their Ferrari to a carwash? And what about those soft-carwash installations. They say that they are absolutely scratch free.
