Newman is out of diffs until July at the soonest. Jamie got the last one.

Newest supercession of the crown bolts have safety wire holes. That would be great but they are $21 each at ricambi. OUCH!

The crown gears in these cars are not special when compared to any other vehicle we drive on the daily basis and those bolts don't need to be safety wired. If you wire them you should do the drain plugs too just in case. Ford doesn't wire the crown gear bolts on the supercharged GT500's and just imagine the shear force those bolts are subjected to cranking out anywhere from 500 to 900HP and lifting one front wheel when you dump the clutch.

when you see the lock wire at first sight it looks good, but when you see how this lock wire should work then you see ( red circles ) that so as it is fixed never can work as a lock wire. the screws could still turn because the lockwire is not fixed in the right direction. sad to see such a work. except the screws would have a left handed thread what I not think they have ;)

good eye! Terribly done race wire job. The whole point is that they be wrapped clockwise around the bolt so one cannot loosen as it imparts a tightening load on the other.

it is only because of the screws how "NOT" to fix with lock wire but that it is possible to use lock wire
