My yellow light comes on when I turn on the heater blower fan.

On a euro 1985 308QV, it is unused ("spare" is a bad translation IMO).

On a US 1985 308QV, it comes "on" when the rear window heating element is switched "on".

If you are talking about some other year/model/version F, please clarify as these lights have different functions depending on the year/model/version.

 

Fan LEFT noted in OM as Orange but is Yellow in my car. Window heater RIGHT - no color indicated in OM. Taken from Owners Manual 1984 QV US 307-84
I'd suggest that you obtain an owners manual for your car...proper documentation is an immense help.

Unless the rear window defroster automatically comes on at start up, I assumed that it was a warm up caution light that meant the WUR was engaged and correlates with the fast idle. ??? Indicator 20. Mine is an 80 GTBi US model

 

The Yellow light on my '79 GTS is on the upper LEFT side of the instrument cluster. It comes on when ever the fan switch is in the ON position.

 

Couple of things. Your car may be a hybrid. Apparently demand for US market diverted Euro cars to the US without every US mod...or it may be a gray market car. In any case, picture below show gauges (round) and indicators (rectangular) in proper relative position in the instrument cluster. Within gauges are round indicators such as turn indicators etc. This may help in your understanding.

Note the round indicators like heater fan and spare as you described them look more like the euro than the US positioning.

The early cars label it "spare" and connect it to the choke lever...that oddly reconciles to later use as indicating "warm up" settings on the injection system???
