Hey guys I know pricing on this is subjective. What is a fair price to Xpel clear wrap my F8 Tributo front hood, front fenders, bumper, mirrors and rocker panels? Obviously from a reputable installer with no seams. Thanks appreciate any feedback.

A quality job will run $7K to $10K for a custom wrap.
Anything less than that and you will get what you pay for.

5-7k is a whole car price. The front clip area is about 1500-1800.

I paid $3.7k for what you described (Xpel) plus the rest in ceramic. This also included tinting all windows, and ExoShield on the windshield. My installer did an outstanding job.

I opted not to wrap the entire car based on experience with two other exotics.

The main benefit of doing the whole car depends on color type. Flat paints show micro scratches easily so doing a whole car wrap can help with regular washing maintenance. Otherwise there is little reason to do the whole car as you shouldn’t get rock chips in other places.

  10. Go full, or don't do it at all.

Partial wraps are ok if you are simply tracking your car and want to minimize road rash and track debris.

If you are trying to protect the paint and finish of your car, do full PPF, or don't do it at all. Partial wraps leaves edges (no matter how good the installer) and the material (be it Xpel, Suntek, or whatever) will always yellow to some extent no matter what manufacturer advertises or what the installer says. They all yellow, just a matter of how much -- some more than others, some less.

It's a Ferrari for chrissake. You spent at least something like 350,000 (or more) on your car, and you're going to try and save something like 1% on the cost of PPF (i.e., the price difference between full and partial PPF, which is generally about 3-4k).

Live a little. Go full PPF.

FWIW, I had my Pista fully PPF'd and Ceramic Coated for 7.5k, not pre-cut, no edges (also included tint on the side windows only)

    Good luck.

In 40 years I don’t think I’ve ever had a stone chip on the rear or rear quarters of a vehicle.
I wrapped my mirrors forward. $3k for mine last week. Not trying to protect something that doesn’t need any protection. Look at any older Ferrari never wrapped. Perfect paint. A few chips up front.
Some people just go super anal just to sell their prized fully wrapped ceramic space shuttle tile core radiation resistant car 12 months 1000 miles later.

    Ok, boomer
wraps on the rear are not primarily for stone protection
particularly on dark colored cars, the avoidance of otherwise unavoidable minor paint marring from normal washing is well, well worth the price of admission

$8k and I would do the entire car especially if you have a triple layer paint.

Some think ok boomer is age-ist. A question was asked and options given. POV was backed by experience. No need to be rude or dismissive.

To the OP. My detail guy in Orlando is like a brother to me. I ask him what he would do. He does all
Sorts of car from F40s to Hondas. Doesn’t cut or buff the clear coat and does amazing work. I trust his opinion although the east answer is wrap fully all cars. I personally don’t keep long enough to receive the benefit of that strategy on my cars.

    For you :
Do you drive your car ? Are you keeping it long term?
    Do you park outside ?
    Coupe vs convertible ?

The question asked was what’s the cost for your request:
    1800-3500
Depending on paint correction and what else is added
    Window tint vs heat insulation

I pay 3500 paint correction windshield and ceramic front PPF only.

Cost is driven by what material and whether a kit is available (yes) or custom cut PPF job (shouldn’t be but like 812C would be nearly but not late)

    Now the add-on thoughts
If you are keeping the car forever - most of us don’t - then full PPF makes sense. Plus paint correction plus ceramic. 7 -9k. The value is in the eye of the beholder.

I did fully wrap my TM GTs not my F8S as was
Mentioned for paint protection and consistent appearance for the whole car not the chip’s.

O drive my F8S everywhere and to work. For me the front is sufficient for protection and typical use and I expect I won’t have it for more than 2 years. I’m protecting against chips and scraps not full
    Paint for the long term.

Check out the topaz videos on YouTube for the deluxe treatment of million dollar cars and you Will see service varies.

Btw long timers - have you ever had to pull
Old PPF off? I did on my 360 and 16m. Not a fun proposition in terms of paint damage and cost. Yes. Newer is better and should not have this problem moving forward.

Full wrap. If you do part odds are that a stone will chip the part not covered.

Worrying about the cost makes little sense on such an expensive car. But you paid , well over for what they are really worth, on parts , extras from Ferrari.

As mentioned, full wrap . When wrapping the entire car it makes for super easy dust off without having to wash any road dust etc especially on a dark color car . Mine was paint correction, wrap and ceramic coating for 7500 all in. Go full or go home Lol.

    This.
With the ultra expensive 3 layer paints, it's just insurance. Previously, I never would have considered a full wrap. The costly paint changed my mind. Used to think it was like an old granny covering the sofa with plastic. Image Unavailable, Please Login

You got this done in LA for that price?? I keep looking wistfully at these prices, seems like LA will add $2.5k+ tax for the same job to be done which is par for the course...

Here's a perfect example of why wrapping the whole vehicle in PPF can pay off. When i picked up my car I opted to have the whole car paint corrected, PPF'ed and ceramic coated. The paint is always preserved and will look the same as the day they paint corrected it, washing takes about 1/4 of the time of a car thats not PPF'ed and then ... A few weeks ago I was at a gas station filling up my car, something proceeded to drip from the ceiling down onto my drivers side door. I dont know if it was corrosion or who knows but it actually etched the entire PPF down the entire side of the door. Now if this was my paint I cannot imagine what the damage would have been since it basically destroyed the entire PPF, however I just had them remove the door PPF and re apply and ceramic coat. Just that one single time would have been a very costly mistake should I have decided to just do the high impact areas. Like many have said previously your talking about a car thats more then most peoples houses in the US, dont cheap out for a few K as the one time something god forbid does happen to that area you'll kick yourself for cheaping out

  23. Actually, I just looked it up.

I was wrong. It was actually cheaper.

6795 for full Suntek, ceramic coat and ceramic tint (and free rental during the time the car was in the chop). All in, tax included.

Let me know if you want the referral. West LA.

(Of course, this was 2 years ago, pre-Covid, so YMMV)

I did a full wrap, window tint, and film on the windscreen for 10k. I already have little marks on the windshield film, AND marks on the top rear wheel arch. I've also pulled rocks out of the side air intake. These cars are so low it's quite easy to get a rock hit strikes throughout the car... plus, being the attention getting cars that they are, I was also concerned about inattentive people rubbing up against the car scratching it.

Wow that’s crazy pricing… I paid about 1300 USD here in South Africa for Xpel ultimate full front mirrors and rockers.

My previous Ferrari had a full wrap and paint correction by Bigfoot and that cost 3000 USD ….

Seems like you guys over pay there.
