In today's (8/4/12) WSJ,Dan Neil does his usual great write-up of the F12. His writing style is always entertaining. The fact that the F12 is faster around Fiorano than an Enzo is difficult to get your head around.Technology moves on.http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10000872396390444226904577561541582626950.html?mod=googlenews_wsj
Who knew that the motor in the F12 sounds like a bonfire-of-currency? That Dan Neil certainly has a way with words. He must be the 21st century version of Uncle Tom McCahill. For all the superlatives lauded on the new F12 he likes how an older car gets around Fiorano better and that car isn't the GTO either. Wonder if Dan Neil ran across his old buddy selling oranges out of the back of the truck again this time? CH
Pretty good technical explanations are found here, spoiled by the purist bemoaning about too much technology. Without the technology, drivers would be more likely to end up in the ditch rather than back in the garage at night. The question is does the technology makes it more fun? Of course I have not driven an F12, but I know what Neil is talking about; just drive a 458 and an F430 back to back. My opinion is that the 458 is more fun.
