Probably. My 98 has OEM paint of them and it's in pretty good shape.

This thread has been incredibly informative. I have a 458 with chipped paint on the plenum and I want to repaint it myself, but have no mechanical expertise to remove the plenum covers so I’d like to do it with them still installed on the car.

Has anyone here done that successfully?

    What paint did you use?

Can you use a brush instead of the can to prevent overspray with the same wrinkle affect and no brushstrokes?

While it can’t be baked, you could theoretically just start the engine to creat the same effect with heating, right?

    Thank you.

Probably opening up previous; so sorry.

You can paint them yourself; but given the cost I’d get them powder coated. Doesn’t cost much and a stunning finish.

(My cam covers done last year by my main dealer; well subbed out to a company that does a lot.)
