"Beautiful" and "gorgeous" are not two words that I would use in describing this new Spyker. Sorry guys, but the looks turn me off.
The rear fenders are tragic. Styling can make or break a manufacturer and they come up with this? What the .... were they thinking?
Spykers have always been very polarizing designs.......IMHO, this will not turn out well for their "resurgence"........ In my opinion, they took all of the least attractive points of their previous designs, and emphasized them....will be interesting to hear Rijks thoughts...
Rear fenders would look much better with more of a P1 style que. Lengthen it a tad and it would be gorgeous.
Looks like a caricature of a Ferrari 360, mated to a catfish. I've always liked Spyker (and the interior is, of course, gorgeous), but I don't know about this thing. I must see it in person, if it ever hits production.
Looks too much like Maserati did it. Spyker should really be their own thing and over the top. If they look too much mainstream, then there's no point.
I did think Maser at first when I saw the front. That could be better, but I like the curves and scoops. Interior looks great too. I like it better than the original Spyker.
One thing I would never want is a car designer panel consisting of FerrariChat members. You would never agree on a design. Tough crowd. Personally I like it, but I suspect I won't like the price tag so it will be an irrelevant car model for me.
I love all Spykers. They were polarizing to me at first, but once you get over that little bit at first, you see them for well made, well designed, unique sportscars that they are. The interiors are just THE BEST. It's all about the details with Spyker.
The extra height now from the bottom of the side window sill down to the bottom of the rocker panel has given many cars a very 'thick' unappealing appearance lately. This is one of them. A flat bottom steering wheel and some engine turned metal and suddenly a star is born... CH
