I don't get on the boards very often these days but I thought I would share it. I'm in no way in the market for a Tr- found it on a local search on e-bay. It seems like there are a lot of Trs for sale these days.

Got to wonder if the rough running when cold is a sign of anything really off, but it is a 25 year old car. I love the 85 Testarossa as the pure essence of the design with the high single mirror, lack of third brake light, and the center lock wheels

Almost impossible to ascertain whether this is a good deal or not. Figure on a major service $8-10k and redoing the front spoiler to start.

We're up to close to $50k already. Maybe it's had a recent service? Any paint or bodywork?

    Hard to say.

Check out the last picture on teh ebay ad of the underside of the engine. Looks like there is a lot that is leaking..

That pic of the bottom of the engine doesn't look good, plus the rough running...

As someone else said, if it looks to good to be true...

Looks like the shifter shaft seal is leaking and causing most of that ugly underneath.

Depending on how much you're expecting from the car I'm sure it could be a great deal.

You could do some basic things to it, enjoy it for a year and pass it along to someone else for a "good" price.

Interesting. I still don't think its that bad of a deal, pending nothing is seriously wrong with the motor.
