Deader (if that's even a word) than: That frozen guy in Nederland... Mickey Mantle... Alfa Romeo's promise to come back to the US... AND... FoD, right now!!! Anyways...HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
Derek, Perhaps everyone is out driving their cars with this great weather we have in the RMR. Oops, did I say that out loud? I don't want to be the one to let the cat out of the bag... I really ment to say perhaps everyone is buried under 10 feet of snow and can not find their way to FoD? If you gave away a Hummer H1 with everry F-Car you sold Derek, then we could come visit you when the roads are covered in the white stuff. Don't work too hard & Happy New Year!
Thanks Mike, yeah, that's what I figured...compound the Holidays with the fact that the weather is almost too nice to be believed equals nobody posting on F-Chat Happy New Year to you too!
Yeah, keep rubbing it in about the weather... Actually, it has been warm up here too, the ice on my drive is down to 6 inches thick. Maybe I'll search the Tech Forum for a 4 wheel drive conversion for my 308. Stylin'! Happy new year everyone. Lookin forward to the spring thaw! -matt
It is pretty dead here! anyways, happy new year all! hope you all had a good time and hope 06 is good to all of us
What was the deal with those really low priced "348 Twins" you had a few months back? Why soooo Cheap? Where they heaps?
Yes, I stopped by FoD while the "twins" were in stock. It was a Saturday afternoon, and my daughter and I were in the area. We did not stop by to look at them in particular, but happened to be there on the same day (as I hear they did not last long). My daughter had a soccer game in the area just a couple minutes away from the dealership. We were to meet up with a couple friends for lunch after the game, but due to a very late start, lunch was more like dinner time by the time her team was done taking a beating. We ended up trashing the idea of lunch with the friends, and it was my idea to stop off at FoD on the way home as I thought she would like it (she likes the Elise in Red). My daughter ended up liking a few more cars there than just the Elise, and Derek was kind enough to let her try a couple cars out. Well sit in them, as she is just 11, and I don't think she has a fake drivers license that would fool anybody. Two of the cars she tried out were the "twins". Seeing how she is 11, and can't afford to buy any car she damages, I paid close attention. It has been a couple months, but... Things I noticed & recall off the top of my head: Twin #1 (24k miles) - Red w/ tan & tan carpet - scrape/damage to front spoiler (I heard this was going to be fixed) - chrome wheels showed "wear" - decent paint in need of detail (car was outside) Twin #2 (42k miles) - Red w/ tan & red carpet - minor rubs on bottom of front spoiler - silver wheels - paint was about the same as twin #1 (car was outside) - had "race belt" mounting points behind the seats Red F360 Spyder - Red w/ tan - as new condition - silver wheels - paint showed no flaws - Daytona seats - My daughters favorite She also really liked the Mas. Anniv. Spyder, and thought the blue CF was really neat, and wants us to get a similar looking Speedster cover for one of our cars. I would consider buying it, and would call that her next b-day gift, but I think my wife would shoot me if I did that. I wouldn't have remembered the milage, but the fact that they were the same numbers, "2" and "4" in both of them, that stuck in my head, at least that is how I recall them. We don't head up to Denver that often, but if you are looking for the opinion of an 11yr old let us know, and we can head back up there.
I am loking at a 2001 360 red/tan That will be in your shop on Monday for a ppi. Check it out if you have time, the more inspections the better I think. Thanks James
Leave it there until Friday, and I can give you my $0.02, as I will be up there the end of this week. BTW Derek, clear out your PM box
