    These are Gotti J 55 C wheels, as fitted to my 308, in sizes 7-1/2 x 16 (front) and 8 x 16 (rear).

I really like them, they are a "period appropriate" aftermarket wheel design. I think they'd look nice on a Dino - anyone ever seen this?

    Cheers - DM

The sender may be a man, although I'm not sure yet. I also found out that the prices quoted did NOT include shipping.

The weird thing about the Gotti website is that the English and German links are both switched AND not functional. The only way to get into the website is to click on the French flag.

Once you get in, the style of the wheels shown are not the same as the wheels on John Corbani's Dino. In addition, the J55B was not listed on their website. I was able to find the J55B when I Googled "Gotti wheel Alpine" (Alpine referring to the great Alpine Renault A110 - I may have added "France" to my Google search) and found an Alpine specialist company that had several Gotti wheels listed, including 3 hole wheels for your Alpine!

I sent Gotti a photo of John's wheels, along with some of the links to John's postings on FCHAT regarding some of the problems that he had with them - such as the cracking and the fact that the wheels didn't center on the Dino's hubs. John had a tire and wheel shop in California make aluminum spacers to center the hubs for only about $50.00 each and he posted that they worked great. I drove his car and it handled and road very, very well. It seemed more planted and stable in tight and high speed curves - not as prone to snap oversteer as several others I have driven. Here's a photo of one of John's wheels:

Any update? Looks like its not J55B on Corbani's car.. These are the best looking wheels I've seen on a dino.. Would really like them on my Fiat Dino :)

Self centering is either "in" the casting design, or 'not"........Ferrari's in house castings "are" for the most part AFAIK, but many wheels (including the repro Ferrari wheels) need the centering rings....

My wheels are actually later (or earlier) Etioles...but very similar in appearance to the Gottis.

With due respect to John, his wheels were TERRIBLE.

I think he took it as a technical challenge to keep them rolling......there were certainly easier ways to fix it....

The wheels Brian Van Steen has on his car look the nicest of the Dino options....IMO.

I would not run 'repaired cracks" either!!!
