Beautiful GT4 Brian, Wow! As far as pinstripes on Ferraris go, I'm the kind of guy where more isn't always more, if you know what I mean. Your car is a "10" no matter how you cut it. Damn, now I think I need a GT4.

I remember hearing/reading something about a pinstripe should be just above the boxer paint scheme-if it's been applied to a gt4. Mine has it but it's really not that noticeable-but I don't mind it either. When I finally paint this car the boxer paint is going back on but I'll probably skip the pin stripe b/c you don't really notice it

Here you can def see the pinstripe and it looks like it brings out some of the sharper angles in the car-damn good stuff

Elvis did-he had a bunch of cars but his favorite was the Stutz Bearcat. I remember reading how he once shot the dash/steering column of a Lambo or something else he had.

Flat crank, 4 carbs and a fried chicken drumstick. What's better than that. The King!

It was a Pantera Elvis shot.

I'm not sure I'd put much stock in his taste in cars though. He left his BMW 507 behind when he returned from Germany.

Lauda and Andretti both drove GT4s.

Nice-you have to wonder where that pantera is now!

Also, being Thanksgiving I think he would have opted for a fried turkey drumstick instead-still while driving the GT4 of course

I've seen Elvis' Pantera at The Peterson Museum. His black GT4 is on display at Graceland. Here's some pics of The King and his Pantera.

I was at a car show (multi type cars), and some guy came by and was trying to talk me into having him etch my windows, you know, the sand blast type etching you see on low riders with the filigree stuff and old English type lettering.

    I declined.

Coach lines belong on a RR. Pinstripes on a Hot Rod.
Very few, if any, Ferraris have lines that need accenting.

Save your money for necker knobs and curb feelers.

Is that the former Yngwie Malmsteen car? The description makes it sound like it probably isn't but that was a black 308 with wire wheels.

Wikipedia: "Malmsteen is married to April Malmsteen and has a son named Antonio after Antonio Vivaldi, and they live in Miami, Florida.[12] A Ferrari enthusiast, Malmsteen owned a black 1985 308 GTS[13] for 18 years before selling it on eBay, and a red 1962 250 GTO."

I wonder which one he likes more.

I'm intrigued by those wire wheels, can't say I like them on a 308, but they are interesting wheels. I captured one of the ebay pictures below. The knockoff says Borrani, and it looks like the size of the wheel is 14 x 6 1/2 (stamped in rim). Tires are 195/70R14.

In the tool photos, there is a knock off tool and a good old Thor brass hammer...reminds me of all the British iron 1968 and later, after spinners were outlawed here as too dangerous. I think our legislators took the James Bond Aston Martin scene a little too seriously:) Was that Goldfinger, can't remember which one?

You are correct, it was: "Goldfinger".

    As for the car:

I think the wire wheels look awful, the window tints make it look like a bad film prop, the pin-striping is unnecessary and the reversed position tail-lights are really irritating Me!

(Or to put it simply: I'm not a fan of it! ;) )

My thoughts on wire wheels: They look cool on some cars but should be retired when they get old. I have had an old rusty wire wheel fall off more than once. It is kind of sad to see your wheel in front of you going through a corn field. :)

I dont mind the wire wheels either. They CAN look good if done right on a 308. I think we just don't ever see them done well. The stripes on that car were probably a product of its time and previous owners. This is just a case of someone making the car uniquely their own. I have no problem with that. It can be undone.

I'd like to see a 308 with 24 inch chrome spinnas' like they have on cars here in Memphis...

Hmmm...that gives me an idea for my QV.
