My FF seems to live in the gas station. Gets around 5 mpg in town, not really driving that aggressive, some fun with it but not flooring it nonstop. It's brand new so hopefully it improves slightly once it gets more broken in.

Anyone else getting such terrible mpg?

I get 7 mpg with my F12 toodling around town. If I cared about mpg, I would buy a prius. ;) Perhaps the all wheel drive of the FF makes mileage even worse ? I do wish the gas tank was bigger so I could make fewer trips to the gas station.

PS: I'm in a competition with myself to see how much hydrocarbon I can burn and how much CO2 I can emit before I die. ;) The F12 is perfect for this.

I don't mind the mpg more than I mind spending time at the gas station. They should of put a 35 gallon tank on this thing

I agree. 24 gallons (F12) isn't really cutting it for tank size.

    Sub 3mpg on the track.

Burned 3 tanks per set of tires / per day. :)

5mpg is a bit much even for in town.

I average 10-11mi per gallon, 80% of the drive are highway in average traffic, not pushing the car.

I believe the tank to be 26 gallons.

I simply do not know since I decided not to care about mpg or anything that will for sure be no nice figure. I simply know it costa at least 50 bucks to start the engine, period.

I got my dream car, that is all that matters.

You can get 17 mpg on the highway at 75 mph on cruise, if you care to.

It's a Ferrari. Suck it up

    :)

The OP is probably more reffering to the time wasted at the gas station, which a larger tank could fix or help.
My 911 turbo used much less gas but had a smaller tank, so ended up stopping at gas station as often.

I think everyone got the wrong impression here. I wish I didn't have to spend so much time at the gas station filling it up.

If it is new, it certainly will get better mileage the more it is used. I found that my F12 began to breath easier through the exhaust and emit more of that melodious sound over time. Don't have a clue what the MPG is though. Yes, it will very easily drain a tank in a day. Interesting though that gas station stops seem to be where most actual enthusiasts want to talk and examine the car up close. Never had a bad experience but it is different having complete strangers come up to you and takes some getting used to.

Is pumping gas somehow beneath you guys? I don't get it.

Gas stations are a fun place to get looks and love with car fans. Stretch your legs, get some air?

Everyone might have got the wrong impression, but do people even realise how ridiculous this all is?
We're talking about 5mpg! For any car, that's just silly! And I am a big petrolhead..

not really - 10 mpg is what I get between highway and around town. if you spend a lot of time on the gas I can totally see getting 5. my range rovers barely get 17 and they have a third of the hp.

I get an average of about 13 in my FF, my first Ferrari. I used to get about 18 out of my V8 Maserati GT, so I figured it seems about right in the FF considering the extra 4 cylinders :)

Not your first offense; 7-day ban for you.

Seriously, it's not that difficult to disagree with others about something like a car without resorting to insults and name-calling. I've been doing it on this site for 14 years.

5 mpg sure is low. On the other hand, it depends on your overall average speed. Even a Prius will get that low if sitting in traffic with the engine running. MPG wouldn't be too much of a problem for me because >95% of my driving is on wide open highway without traffic.

Agree it's not about the cost or CO2 but time spent at a gas station--and in a Ferrari it as often isn't appreciation I get (as Brian L would have it) but the dormant socialist in Americans (who would have thought?) emerging in the "you want people to see you fuelling up" looks. But these are thoughts best left alone...

on a run at 75 mph, I can't believe how good it is.
on the track its a bit different, 1 tank just over 1 hour!
I was having such good time I did not mind.

I prefer not to hang out at the gas station. Instead, I maintain a higher than usual amount of situational awareness while trying to take care of whatever need to be taken care so I can be out of there as quickly as possible. Gas stations are probably where most GTA type of things will take place.

Wow. Live in a bad area do you? Situational awareness in my neighborhood means not hitting a horse or having to pass a Massey Ferguson with a hay tedder taking up the lane. Or those darn bicycle riders! I guess its understandable if your not feeling safe and have to make a quick stop but I would try and plan ahead to avoid those conditions.
