I've had the car for a while but have also just discovered this thread. The heat finally broke enough here to get out for a nice drive and enjoy it! Now to get it cleaned up... USA-Louisiana, 91 348TS, 088015 Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hi, my name is Adam, I'm new on this thread. I own my first Ferrari a pretty '93 TS in Corsa Rosso and yellow interior not for a long time. Bought with quite a nice exterior and painting and the cabin also, but mechanically in such a poor condition. It took almost half a year to purchase and replace or fix every worn parts such as clutch and flywheel, brake pads and rotors, steering box, axle shaft joints and boots, all of suspension silent blocs, radiators and fans, door and ignition lock cylinders, so on, and 30k miles service kit of course. Fortunately the engine and gearbox was in excellent condition so nothing to do with them. Rear windshield was broken, and no way to buy new or used original one, so had to be remade of lexan. Me and my friend was working a lot, but worth it. Now it has been almost completed. Just one issue, after rain in two cylinder there is no spark, so by the inspection there must be any connection problem somewhere between the amplifier and ignition coil. Anyway I park it in a dry garage. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Very nice looking TS Adam. The 6 months of hard work look like they have paid off. Just to point one thing out that is an easy fix....you need to switch the wheels to the oppersite sides as they are rotating in the wrong direction. The flat section of the spokes turns ahead of the curved section. See other images of 348 models and you will understand. All the best. Stephen.
Many thanks for your recognition and even your notice Stephen, I'm going to switch the tyres as soon as possible. Best regards, Adam
Just found this thread! Bought about a month ago. That's the original top! Nobody can believe that's original but it still as the little Ferrari logo on the bottom corner. Someone took really good care of her! 1995 Spider 15,800-ish miles Jeff Atlanta, GA Image Unavailable, Please Login
Jeffrey, lovely example. I know what you mean when you say someone really took care of your car. I purchased a 1995 348 Spider 4 years ago with a mere 4,575 total miles driven (now 7,402!). Point is, she was in beautiful condition like yours with all the origional bits still looking "As New" which just adds to the pleasure of ownership. Oh and on-lookers cant believe she's 21 years young!!! Btw, mines s/n 99349. What do you have?
USA - New Mexico, 1995 , 348 Spider, 18800 miles. Hello all! Tom here from New Mexico - first Ferrari but not first Italian car - have an Alfa and have had a Maserati. This is much more fun than the car next to it in the picture. ;-) (There's a big bright yellow 1982 Dodge W150 4X4 at my back so I can't back up any further) Image Unavailable, Please Login
Very nice Tom. I see a road frame on the wall. I'm a roadie too. Can't make out what it is but it looks like steel? Btw what are the last 5 of your serial number? I'm 99349. Cheers, Stephen.
