I love the '61 250gto spider buried in the sand after a hurricane in California. When was the last time California had a hurricane do that kind of damage? Does anyone know the actual location of this photo. I don't think it's in California.

Modena Design Spyder (think Ferris Bueller), Florida, Hurricane Ivan, September 2004.

The car referred to as a TdF is actually 250 GT Boano s/n 0541GT.

How about the TR that didn't make the corkscrew at Laguna Seca a year or two ago? Is the GTO pic real?

Actually the most expensive car wrecks are those involving something as 5 teenagers in a used Camaro hitting another car head on. With a bunch of people in the ICU for a month, reconstructive surgeries and law suits it would end up being in the 10's of millions. The reason it costs so much to insure a Camaro is not the cost of the car but the payout history of accidents involving that brand/model of car.

Frequently the cost of the car is an insignificant part of the payout for a motor vehicle accident.

A very good point. A car is just hardware.
