The Ack Attack streamliner just reset the two wheeled land speed record at a private meet on the Bonneville Salt Flats. They did a one way pass at 360 and change for the fastest pass ever, came back at over 350 mph for a new two wheeled record of over 350mph.

will have all the details soon.

Coming off a bike at 350 mph is a good way to lose weight.

in this case you would be IN it rather than on...still, not an inviting prospect.

how about the buddfab streamliner??? just a shade under 150 mph with 50cc!!!!!!!

If I knew it was my last day on Earth, and that I had to die on the motorcycle. That's the way I would want to go... 350 mph. It would be insanity up to that speed, and I doubt you would feel much after that.

the steering changes several times when you get up into those speeds.

from steering to counter steering and back again... and its not always obvious where the changes are until you push on the handle bars.

    fun/scary stuff.

plus wheel spin can be anywhere from 10%-20% depending on salt conditions.

anything over about 180mph on a regular sit down bike the rear end wants to start coming around as the wall of air builds up in front of you and the rear is still pushing, it wants to pivot around the front fork steering bearing point.

I've never ridden in a streamliner, I imagine they have their own set of challenges. :D

will look it up, and I'll ask at landracing.com from some that have first hand knowledge of "riding" one of these monsters.

just like when you steer under a cetain speed in the parking lot, them counter steer once on the road. It changes again as the speeds get really high. Been told this by several streamliner "riders".

Looks like it has 2 engines & 1 (big) turbo, so I can see why it can go about 2x as fast as a typical mc.
