Whoa, some huge stuff in here.
I really like the styling of the house in AZ. I'd just want it 10x smaller. 2000 sq.ft is already more than I need, as long as that doesn't include the garage. :)

Yes, it is tacky but is very noticeable from far away on PCH.
Easy to tell the CHP where you live when they stop you for speeding on PCH (their 45 mph limit sucks, I got ticketed many times on that road, one more ticket and I know all their first names).

Wright's house in the pic is from Japan, isn't it? I heard they moved it somewhere, but I maybe wrong. It was built for some rich man's summer house, and back then when A/C system wasn't reliable, he used waterfall to cool the house (that is what I read in Gallary Fake)

I really like the look of this house also.

I'm rather partial to this little shack in Laguna

The garage/display thingie is pretty cool, and the view doesn't suck either. But only in SoCal do you pay nearly $13mm for a 4bd house.

If I was going to design something on the water, that'd be pretty close to what I'd end up with.

Uhm.. now I just have to work around that "price is no object" thing.

Man, that's nice. The car enclosure reminds me of a house a friend of mine told me about up north. The garage is glass and the cars (including an F40) can be seen from the master bedroom! Pretty cool.

I don't know that I would build an elevated (yeah it's on a lift) display like that for my living room unless it was an off the hook beach house like that. Just wouldn't fit in a somewhat normal style house. My idea was to have a separate single car garage that has a glass wall, and build an office or game room directly on the other side.

Course I would just buy that place but it would take me all year to make one mortgage payment on it :(

No shortage of very expensive homes in Oakville.

The story behind this particular property is kinda sad...the President of the Canadian division of a certain rather well-known software company had the home built to his specs. Upon completion and taking possession, apparently his wife was allergic to something in the house (I heard it was the paint, but not sure). Anyway, it was something that couldn't be corrected, so his only choice was to sell.

Here is some interesting architecture. This house is inspired by Mayan architecture and it took 2 years to design and 5 years to build.
    Located in Austin, Texas
The main walls were built with 2" X 2" granite blocks that were placed with no mortar, grout or cement, just like a real Mayan temple. This house is just under 10,000sq ft. It has a underground tunnel with hieroglyphs. The pool is modeled after a Mayan ball court and the home has 6 giant granite colomns that aline with celestial events. The sun's rays pass between the columns and rest on exact points marked in stone. Each colomn weighs 75,000 pounds.
The home was built with more than 6,000 tons of granite and is rumored to have cost about $50 million.
The owner said "it cost more than $10 million and a whole lot less than $100 million".

Some may think it's ugly, but I think it's pretty cool.
