IIRC his first wife was having....relations....with at least one of his teammates (Mark Grace) and maybe others.

and with that, we are totally off topic.

    It's all relevant!

I wonder if Mark Grace considered her a slump bust?

Kershaw definitely has a post-season mental block. Might that keep him out of the Hall of Fame?

I have no idea why Dave Roberts made him starting pitcher after he pitched the last inning in Game 7 against the Brewers. Add to that lousy Dodger defense and they deserved to lose the game.

I just saw a video of Manny Machado's dirtiest plays. I gues he's the Vontae Burdick of MLB.
    One down, three to go.

I still predict Boston in 5, LA losing at home.

They just don't have the pitching. The same flaws they had all year are still with them in the series

I'm not defending what Machado did but it was more like 50/50. The first baseman appears to leave his foot right in the dead center of the bag after he caught the ball. Machado going at full speed could have sprained an ankle. I think Machado was sending a message.

IMO, it was wrong but there's some blame on both sides. This kind of thing almost never happens. It happened because the first baseman decided to leave his foot where it shouldn't have been after he caught the ball.

Bob, I actually don't disagree with your assessment. I rethought that post and wasn't going to post it, but I guess it stayed in memory and when I wrote the "one down and three to go post" it showed up ahead of it. :(

Wow! Muncy ALMOST hits one out and then gets a second chance -- kaboom!

    Crazy game!

Is this the turning point for them?

I fell asleep after tht 16th. DVR stopped recording after 6 hours...it was a 7 hour and 20 minute game not including the pregame stuff.

This is going to effect the strategies and lineups going forward in ways nobody could imagine.

Yes as they literally played 2 complete games with only one outcome.

This was a real nail biter if you watched from the 8th inning on. Some really remarkable jams the Dodgers were in and got out of each one. Tying the game in extra innings with 2 outs on a error -- so rare! I think everyone thought the game was over and then -- here we go again.

Congratulations the the Red Sox. Watching Machado end the series flailing on his knee at the plate was icing on the cake for me.

    I called it...

Dodgers to beat Milwaukee in 7, lose to Boston in 5.

Boston had an awesome season. Anyone who watched the Dodgers this year understood at times they were brilliant, at times awful. The relief pen was very shaky this year. That's what did them in on game 4. They ran out of arms.

So congrats to Boston. The question is --- can the Dodgers repeat next year? I rather doubt it. Maybe it will be the Rockies turn....

I didn't have time to watch any of it this year. Though he hit a couple of homers, did that Cuban Jo Ann Pflug guy do less posing than last year?

I was really rooting for the Dodgers! I figured my Dad had been such a fan I would root in his honor. Boston was the better team, they deserved it that's for sure.

Well the Sox didn't quite make the sweep as I predicted, but then truth be told I really didn't think they would do it any way. I'm surprised our pitching did as well as they did.

I actually thought Price should have been MVP, but I'm happy for Pearce who's bounced around all over the place and his folks live in MA.

Loved how the classless Redsux played "New York, New York" in the locker room after the win. They can't get the Yankees out of their heads. Also all the fans chanting "Yankees Suck".
    LOVE IT!!!!
I do have to admit though, They are catching up. What, another 23 championships and they got us! ;)

Ha! And the single playoff game the Yanks won this October at Fenway when Judge walked out of the locker room playing "New York, New York"... pure class there. ;)

As a Yankees fan, I hate that the Red Sox won (though that seemed inevitable since mid-season), but as a former Puerto Rican resident, I salute Alex Cora on a great job.

I don't remember him before this year, but I did remember his brother Joey. I guess if the Molinas are the first family of Puerto Rican baseball, the Coras are the second!
