lol...you didnty fall for that trick did you ..........blizz will never send you an email sayin that its the hackers ...they put the link on there to get the trojan on you comp....get an authenticater.....
if you look at all the email header information block, you'll see that all the scamming WoW emails comes out of hotmail servers. I just block all hotmail traffic entirely.
Well Blizzard gave me a free month afterward, so mine was actually authentic. I didn't play at all during that month. And yes, I verified it on my account page first.
Played a rogue through BC and T7-T8 content of LK. Was in a top 100 guild. Retired once I had my first kid. Managed full T6 set, farmed BT and Sunwell forever and never ever saw a warglaive. Must have had 45 Illidan kills. Dumbest legendary item ever in that it drops rather than crafts from many many drops which drop from many many bosses like the current legendary items. Anyhoo, done now. I managed to not live my life playing the game. I was one of the very few who could raid a few nights a week logging on for not more than 4 hours yet still get the respect from the uber hardcore. I was just in a very good guild which I think is the difference.
I played it for a bit less than a month. Got to L85 and got tired of all the muppets. The new 1-60 game is worth playing, though.
