We just returned from the WCD 200MPH Extreme Event. De-boarding the plane in LaGuardia at midnight was a rude transition from a perfect, sun-filled 36 hours in southern Florida. These are just preliminary images until Michael Lussos readies his files.

Thursday, 8 January 2009: We arrived at the airfield - which is in the middle of nowhere - and proceeded to unload the Koenigsegg.

Like I said - the middle of nowhere.

At the top, two Rossions. Then a silver R8, an orange Superleggera, and the yellow F430.

Unlike their F430, World Class Driving's 599 was optioned to the gills. Power Daytona Recaros, carbon fiber interior trim, shields, red calipers, carbon ceramic brakes, front and rear parking sensors - a real stunner.

Dihedral synchro-helix doors open, the CCX was almost impossible to photograph with no one else around.

I should've waited until the end of the day to take this picture - the CCX ended up posting an ultimate time of 218. And a handful of 217mph-runs - many of which were piloted by Didier Theys - one of which was with me in the passenger seat. A very exciting experience, to say the least.
