For the people I have interacted with in the last several years (both times it was the fault of their insured) I have no idea how they sleep at night unless they are rotten to the core.

One more thing.. the sum of all parts you buy to upgrade your ride does NOT add to the price... insurance or sale. It does the opposite sometimes. A clean stock car could be worth more .. depending of course of make, mods etc.

Hagerty, $1325/yr at 125K guaranteed value no deductible. I do carry one other classic vehicle on the policy so this includes any discount from that.

Considering where I live in Colorado high country insurance is generally more expensive for the daily drivers on a regular policy because "big animals." That's what an agent told my parents who moved here in October.

Agreed. As for me, my nightmare with MY State Farm claim with MY State Farm agent was fought for 2 YEARS. And I was not the driver that was assigned to be at fault for the accident. The loss of a car I restored, myself, that was taken out by a careless teenager running a light was only exacerbated by my own insurance company that claimed I was "fully covered" by their "Guaranteed Value" policy.

This was an accident in which I did not claim any personal injuries. My only claim was to pay me what my car is worth. Their initial offer was NOT what they had previously "Guaranteed" and was ridiculously insulting--- many thousands less than what the late Bruce Anderson of the PCA wrote in his professional valuation report of my 911 Carrera 3.0. Which of course State Farm completely ignored.

I say all this as a very important warning. Agreed Value Policies are your only choice if you want to protect the investment of your collector cars. It was a valuable, albeit, expensive lesson learned by myself.

Here is the final recap for mine completed today. Thanks for all of those who posted here. Grundy was by far the best, no one else was close.

    Grundy / Agreed Value $150,000/ $1840 per year/ $0 deductible/ windshield replacement covered/ free towing up to 150 miles/ no mileage restriction.

42 yrs old, no accidents, tickets etc. I think mine is a bit higher than some with Grundy as I live in the third most populated county in the United States.

I did not. I never heard of them until this thread therefore I checked the majors. Grundy, American Collectors, Hagerty, etc.

    Ok

They have technically been around since 1882

Try them out next time ..you may be surprised..no mileage limit and agreed value as well

Don't know how they handle claims personally though

This is a pretty annoying process, or I'm doing something wrong. I came in at 2400 for Grundy, 4500 for Hagerty and 3500 for Geico. I can't figure out how to get quotes from Chubb or Cincinatti, does anyone have an agent to recommend by chance? American Modern is similar, hard to find an agent to get a quote and it seems American Collector stopped writing policies for 2000 and newer vehicles. Open to any suggestions you folks may have, or will probably have to end up with Grundy.

That can’t be right. I just switched this year to American Collectors for both my GT3 and my F430 and both are newer than 2000 cars.

Insurance depends very tightly on postcodes. No matter what you try, it is where you live that dictates the end of the day (and other factors of course ) the premium....

Yall are making me worried with State Farm. I have two agreed value policies. 07 F430 @$780/Yr and 65 Vette @$432/Yr

I have been with State Farm for half my life, I am 36. Haven't had a single bad experience, but I've also never had to claim on a 6 figure car.

This is why you've haven't had a bad experience with them. Are you sure you have an agreed value policy with State Farm. I was told they don't provide that kind of coverage.

Recently got quotes from Grundy and haggerty, but neither was good as USAA
But USAA I do have market value, with 100/300/100 policy with $500 deductibles in an estimated 4,000 mi a year, it's about $110 a month.
Granted I have five cars on the policy

They both have agreed value endorsements. They consider anything 10 years and older to be "classic", and then this becomes available.

Spoke to them this morning, they said they won't do a one off car unfortunately unless it is more than 30 years old, or I have a larger collection.

In trying to get another quote someone told me the change was to CA policies. Who knew it would be this annoying to get insurance? :D

Curious if this is from experience because when I went with Grundy almost 8 years ago I asked this specific question and the agent basically said if it's a nice weekend day or something its fine to stop by Wally World...a rainy Tuesday on the other hand, you'll probably run into problems.

I had asked State Farm to provide this type of coverage several times, and their response was always “not in Texas”. May I ask when you were sold this policy?

    Thanks
