I am trying to trouble shoot some electrical issues on my 1993 Mondial T. I have the complete set of Wiring Diagrams. Where can I find a Color code translation that cross references the color code on the Schematics to the actual color(s) of the wires.

I work with these daily and suggest if you gain a couple Italian words plus a few memory clues, in a few minutes the colors will stick with you forever.

Azure - light blue color of the Mediterranean
    Bianco - white
    C - citrus Orange
G - galliano Yellow (buy a bottle for the shelf)
    N - nero Black
M - Merde (look it up and never forget)
P - Poo (look up merde again - but lighter colored baby poo)
    Rossa - red
Verde - green (Joe Green = composer Giuseppe Verde)
Z - violet (violet violet violet going to sleep now zzzz)

Now you're left with 3 colors to just plain remember as I've no memory hints with these. But like Z, the colors S, L, and H will quickly stick because of uniquosity. (look it up if you must but later)

    S - Pink pinking Scissors
L is dark blue, (used infrequently) Use BLUE
H is grey gray (used a lot so burn it in Grey Gray - 2 speLLings LL=H H's two posts 2 speLLings, crossbar, grey football uniform

    DOUBLE LETTERS. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Looks ominous but second letter is simply the stripe. I.e. NB is black with white stripe...BN virtually the same.

    Paul & afterburner,

Thanks for the quick reply. I bought my service and parts manuals on CD from www.GreatWorkshopManuals.com.
They did not include a page of color codes. They appear to be scanned copies of official Ferrari manuals.
I emailed them about this but have not heard back.

I also noticed some discrepencies on the schematics. The biggest one being the fact that the labeling (A, B, C, D ... etc) of the relays in the schematics of the main relay and fuse panel in the front trunk are completely wrong. The labling relative to the location and function in the diagram of the relay and fuse panel in the manual are correct but not on the schematics. I will post a corrected list of letters and functions to this forum when I figure all of them out.

I can see 2 possibilities here:

    1) you didn't get a Mondial t diagram scan
    2) your car's fusebox has been changed with another model's

My QV's original fusebox was changed by the official importer here to a 3.2 version due to the known issues. So neither my wiring diagram's nor my owner's manual's schematics re the fusebox' layout are correct. I just use the 3.2 layout.

The schematics are part of the Mondial T service manual. I noticed that the electrical schematics for the previous generation of Mondial come seperately from the workshop manual.

I believe they are the original Ferrari schematics because the fuse/relay panel erroneous labling is on every sheet including the ones with the Motronic engine control system. The previous generation Mondial had Bosch CIS and Marelli Digiplex ignition. There are also all the "T" unique equipment sheets such as electrically adjustible schocks, ABS brakes etc. The other portions of the service manual match the relay/fuse placement of the Owners/Technical manual. So there is no carryover from previous Mondial 3.2 schematics. Besides, it seems like a different CAD program was used to generate the "T" schematics from the "3.2" schematics.

My fuse/relay box matches the placement of functions shown in the technical/owners, and service manuals. It seems there was just a serious mislabling of the relay identification letters in the schematics that are being reproduced by GreatWorkshopManuals.com.
