Have a 2012 California, but I’d imagine this applies to all models. What do you guys put in as wiper fluid? I did a search and saw someone make their own concoction. Any products on the market available for purchase that’s good?

I used the windshield washer function on my 488 once and had to wash the car afterwards. The drivers side headlight washer coated the entire front end in washer fluid. I had the dealer address it but have only hand washed the windows since. I like the Sonax windshield concentrate and would use that if you are looking for a nice low residue product that cleans well.

Using the windshield washer is going to mess the paint on any car. I like the Rain-X product because it coats the glass with Rain-X without having to go through the hassle of actually applying Rain-X.

    This is a good question!
Most fluids bought at stores contain alcohol to prevent freezing which will destroy plastic headlight lenses and your wax. BMW and most others sell a concentrate without freeze protection. That is probably the best solution.

Ok - stupid question - Can you pull the fuse or otherwise disable the headlight washers? I don't need my flippin headlights washed but occasionally do need to use the windshield washers - Just a thought and probably not a good one :) :)

In this case maybe you can use straight water & water wetter (ex: dishwasher rinse aid). This will not clean much, but at least won't make a mess (the water wetter will reduce the amount of ugly stains) .
