OK so I have a single garage and an obsession with the 512TR.

The garage entrance is just over 210cm wide.

The width where the door will need to open is just over 250cm.

    The usable length is 465cm.

    a) will it fit?
    b) will I have to move in to it or will I be able to actually get out?

    Thanks for your help!

    it will be difficult :)
    but not impossible

the TR is 1976 mm wide and her lenght is 4480 mm

But you 'll have to retract mirrors and try to put the car at the right of garage to open your driver door (or at the left for a UK spec :) )

    When retracted? No! :)

It will fit! You just have to climb out through the window!

Don't forget that the rear is the widest part. The cabin is less wide. I think that it will fit, but getting in and out will be difficult.

Another option maybe, put your car in a straight line with your garage and Puss it inside and ask your wife for help I'm sure after a few attemps she is willing to use a part of her kitchen. but in the worst cenario maybe she will kick you out of the house :D It's up to you.Rob

    I'm really not kidding.
When I bought my Fcar all it needed was to have the fluids changed, new spark plugs and wires, and replacement of the AC & H2O pump belts.

Since there wasn't anything more to do, I built the garage - myself.
I had literally just finished applying the last coat of stucco to the exterior walls when I read this post.

Hey, I found a straight car!

I still think you should convert the front door area and reception area conmbined into a speciality, glass-fronted 512TR garage with down-lighters and ferrari badge-decaled 512 sized turntable in the center - then you could use the garage to welcome people as they come in..

so, this is even with the mirrors not retracted? or dit you put them back when it was in? in that case don't forget to retract them everytime you get out! with my 328 gts, i have to do this also everytime, but to be sure, i just leave them retracted when de car is in the garage. that is a problem with getting out, because my door is only 1,995 cm. to get out of the garage, i have to put the leftwindow down, and stick my head al little bit out, and drive backwards being sure that i drive 2 cm away from the door; in that case i am sure that i have 3 or 4 cm space on the right side. I just must be sure that i drive straight backwards, in a straight line, and not in an angle.....

I managed to get in without retracting the mirrors (close) and coud also squeeze out of the passenger door, so all is good if not a little nerve wracking!!

That makes sense! Or just get out of the car before entering the garage, then push it inside, looks very silly, though!
    Good luck!
Even better: build or buy a special machine you can drive the 512 on, push a button , that commands electric motors to turn the ensemble 45° , then another electric engine has to roll the ensemble into the garage! Just for this time I won't charge you for this phenomenal invention!
