Looking for anyone who can help with the actual width of the 430 specifically with the side mirrors open and not folded.

I'm trying to decide between two lifts and their widths...Bendpak HD-9STX( 90 inch inside column width) and HD-9XW (107 inch inside column width).

Wikipedia says 75.7 inches and I can't tell if that's from mirror to mirror. Anyone have any of these lifts for their 430s?

    Thanks for the help.

I do not have either of those lifts but I do have a superlift.

My 430 fits fine between the posts with the mirrors open. The car just makes it on the platform. Any wider and the tires would hang over the sides.

Here is a link to my lift. All the dimensions are on the bottom of the page.

David- I think I have the same lift by Superlifts (I have the SUV model that simply adds a couple of inches to the height, not sure if you have the same one).

At any rate, the mirrors aren't the issue, but eyeballing the tires on my 360 it looks like they would hang over an inch or so on each side- I presume the 430 is essentially the same dimension, so maybe I'm wrong? I never actually put my 360 on my lift- I was going to and didn't want the tires hanging over and it was easier to just put my other car on the lift (a VW beetle :) ) for winter storage.

For the original poster- the mirrors should be fine (at least with the lift model Daivd posted) and I'll add that I think several companies sell the same lift- when I was shopping there were several brands that had the same dimensions, options and look. I think maybe there is one manufacturer of these lifts that several companies slap their name on- they all had regular or "SUV" lifts (as I said a couple of inches higher so you could fit an SUV under the lift), the option of US steel vs. foreign (China?) steel, aluminum lighter weight ramps, etc...

I guess I didn't think of the tire width. Makes sense though.

I would like to get the narrower lift to free up garage space for the Cayenne next to it. I don't want the wife to hit the post of the lift. I haven't looked into the Superlifts. I suppose that's an option.

I'll have to go back and see if the ramp dimensions are different between the two lifts.

I have owned a backyard buddy for about 5 years. The steel work, paint and cables are excellent but the hydraulics aren't great. Mine has leaked fluid since it was new (hydraulic fluid is very messy). I agree with Andrew911 that you can find many lifts that meet your measurement criteria. I recommend buying the lift that comes with the best local support, for both installation and maintenance.

I have a superlift and my 360 fits just perfectly with the stock tire/wheel set up. You do need to be precise when you pull the car on if you don't want the tires hanging off. I keep a mirror in front of the lift. Makes putting the car in just the right spot a snap.

I have a four post revolution lift by rotary (us made high quality) and a werther single post lift and the 430 fits very easily on revolution and with an inch of clearance on werther.

I have the Bendpak HD-9 (107") for my CS and car fits perfect. I wouldn't go with the narrow version. I don't think it will fit.

That's a huge help. Thanks. I think the HD-9 and HD-9XW have the same inner column width. Sounds like the narrow one might not fit. But...

I was looking at the other parking lifts, the single post PL-6000x and the double post PL-7000x. They have me thinking now....but again...might not fit.

I found the tolerances on my BYB too tight so I had some steel plates about 4" wide welded onto each side. It's a good modification, makes me feel more confident when I pull in. I can send pix if anyone wants.

Great pics. Thanks a lot for helping me out. I would agree the wider one would make the most sense. I have the room but didn't want to take up some of my wife's spot. All I need is her clipping the post with the car on it.

Agreed. The CS and F430 width is pretty much the same. I think the only difference between Your lift and the HD-9XW is the lifting height. I have 12 foot ceilings so might as well get the higher lift. Not much price difference.

Thanks for helping a brother out.
