    Its that tIme of the year myself and Jon where thInkIng the fIrst weekend of Dec would be a good Saturday to get together wIth the wIfe's and kIds. I have two places In mInd fIrst Is same as last year Sumo Japanese steak house or the Rusty Barrel In Ark CIty our frIends form the south may lIke a closer place. So post up whIch place you prefer by next weekend and I wIll make reservatIons. Look forward to seeIng every one.

    I think the Rusty Barrel sounds good because its closer and different. So me and wife should be able to make it.

    It is great steak!! A little outdated on the atmosphere and tight quartered but I think the mentality is "If it aint broke..........".
    Keep in mind everyone that you don't have to bring the best horse in your stable if the worry is over bad weather, deer, driving long country roads that may have Farmer Ted's tractor parked in the middle overnight.
    I'm planning on taking out my best personally. 1972 Ford Pinto with porthole in the side and moped rack on the back!

    Deon, I bet we could figure out a way to replace your 3 point star on the hood of your e63, to a deer whistle ;)

    Unfortunately my only clunker (and deer safe) vehicle is my bicycle.

    My John Deere is not a clunker but is deer safe but the gas mileage sucks.

    If you start today on bicycle you could make it there in time for the dinner. Plus you would get the best MPG out of everyone else.

    Can you pick Deon up on his bike when you come in? I 'm thinking all you guys have a point on the mpg petrol issue. May take my Moped off the back rack of the pinto and bring it. Just threw some sweet mods on it too.
    Darell said he is picking up the tab since he threw the suggestion out so that will help with the petro a little. Thanks Darell for such generosity!!

    GrayTA- As Brian notes, we welcome anyone who has an interest in cars (heck, I drive a Dodge [Viper] and they let me in...).

    We don't have any "set schedule," and we meet about half the time in Wichita and the rest of the time "south of here" (Winfield, Arkansas City, Bartlesville). Unfortunately, that's a long drive from Lawton (although "long drives" can of course be fun!). Below is a link to a thread with some of our "earlier history."
