I let the 355 warm up today so I could top off the coolant res. I noticed that only the driver’s side radiator fan is kicking on.
It stays on for a period of maybe 30 seconds then shuts down. Are both fans supposed to operate at the same time? I never saw the passenger fan come on.

What should I look at first for a fix?

On my '95, both kick on at the same time and off. They cycle pretty quickly which from this forum, is normal.

First thing to check is the fuse.

BTW: your been busy. Glad to see another owner is getting his hands dirty.

The drivers side fan is on most of the time, when it does switch off if the car is very hot the passenger side one will come on but it usually doesn't stay on very long. They never run at the same time its one or the other and the drivers side one is the primary fan. If you turn your climate control on for AC that will force the passenger side fan to come on. To confirm the passenger side fan is working you need to be out of the car and have your hand near the fresh air intake of the passenger door. When the fan comes on you will feel the air being sucked in.

The 2 fans are independently controlled and fused. The LHS (drivers side for you I expect) is controlled by water temp. The RHS (the side with the oil cooler) is actually driven by oil temp which takes longer to come up.

If they genuinely aren't running at all, check the fuses and the relays (all in the passenger footwell with a diagram showing what's what). The fuses can blow if the fans get older and he relays can sometimes stick (I had that problem recently).

You most likely have a failed temp sensor that sits in upper tank of left radiator, very common.

Just wanted to report that both fans do indeed work. As others have said they are independant of each other and can come on at different times. Not what I expected but hey I'm just glad they are working.
