More. Sold jack and bag for 2700 GBP a while back which equates to around $4300

That looks like it may be a modified jack from a late 330 GT. The handle is the same but the folding pin may have been removed and refitted to fold down instead of up.

It is a modified Alfa Jack. At the very least, they could have reshaped the handle...

Things to watch out for when buying a jack:
    - fresh yellow paint and not bothering to clean off all the blue paint underneath
    - wrong small holes in base
    - wrong shaped handle
    - peg made from solid stock, not tube
    - MIG or TIG welding on the peg mount (not so much in the early 70's.…)
    - hacksaw marks where the threaded rod was cut down in size from the larger and cheaper model…
    - Missing or repro rubber

I'm sure there are other experience people have had.

I was ripped of years ago with an apparantly original 206 jack..... I had to find out later....
people have to be very careful and check the seller first....
    I´m always happy to help.....

Sorry to hear that, I managed to unwind my really bad purchases but got caught on one with undisclosed repro rubber, didn't realize right away.

    Add to the list:
    - non-functioning or barely functioning jack due to broken teeth or badly worn shaft bushing or housing. I believe this does affect the value, and is NOT easy to fix otherwise the seller would have done it.

the german ebay jack in post 87 looks very similar to the photograph of the jack in the blue 246 owners manual. only difference seems to the the peg attachment. reverse the peg attachment and the jack looks exactly as the one in the owners manual, which is a photo, not a drwaing.
there must be some variations of the dino jack, unless the manual is incorrect.
