Who is the dirtiest F1 driver of all time? I truly believe that Michael Schumacher is the DIRTIEST F1 driver ever and by a formidable margin. He wins as well in the quantity as in the quality. Dirty driving is inexcusable | Formula 1 | F1 features | ESPN F1 Lewis Hamilton : I'll never be dirty like Michael Schumacher - Mirror Online
Effer- The two old articles you listed are subjective and not indicative of MS's performance, but rather the frustration of two other men. 1. MS didn't run RB into a wall- He was taking a corner and RB wouldn't yield the position (his right). MS was penalized for the move, but it wasn't "dirty". 2. LH was having a very bad year when that article was written, and LH spoke out of frustration. At almost every race that year, LH crashed into Felipe Massa. To assume MS is the dirtiest driver based on the opinions of two people - one of whom (LH) couldn't drive well that year because of his girlfriend breaking up with him, is absurd. Your timing is terrible as well.
Ok, I agree, I'm sorry, it is not the good timing and I accept to temporarily close this thread. I'll be back ...
You're doing the right thing by not pursuing this subject during Michael's difficult time. Our only thoughts are to wish him well and live a wonderful life with his family.
Come on!! No emotional baggage, please ... There is nothing wrong in saying what many think privately.
James hunt, he always did dirty things to his pitgirls and groupies, none of whom would have complained one bit!
Yes, Senna was another one who made despicable moves on the track. Just like in the case of Schumacher, that was completely uncalled for; they both were at the top of their game and didn't need to adopt dirty tactics.
I'm waiting for the "who is the best looking F1 driver ever" to play my Maldonado card. A couple of days I reckon.
I always thought Lole won that one hands down. Not that I care, but the guy looked better than most movie stars. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Well, sometimes their success was related to their dirty tactics, so for them obviously it was not uncalled for. Agree in that Schumacher was incredibly dirty, but in his defense, other drivers had done similar or worse things without getting so much flak. Probably in Schumacher´s case, it´s a question of quantity more than of "quality" of their dirty things. Yet, for me the worse move I can remember in F1 was Senna in Suzuka 1990; Schumacher did what he did in the heat of the moment, but what Senna did that time was in cold blood. He moaned about Ballestre, the starting position, yadda, yadda, yadda. BS!!, that was dead wrong. Another infamous moment that is often not remembered as it happened during free practice was when Alonso tried to scare the sh*t out of Robert Doornbos in Hungary 2006. It was not terribly dangerous and had not big consecuences, but it was quite unusual to see a F1 driver freak out so madly while driving.
Opinions are like *******s..................Michael has 7 Driver WCs ,sorry but your jealousy will never take them away. BEST driver in his era.To coin an English phrase Your a Wanker, lol Try starting a more appropriate thread like who cares what you think! Forza Michael
The ugliest ever was definitely Lauda, but he got that horrible accident ... and things improved as Hunt said.
What?!?!?! How about Prost having done it to him first? That was a case of revenge, but Senna did not initiate it.
This type of behavior toward others is not allowed on this site. Accordingly, an infraction and warning have been issued. Let this be a warning to everyone in this section. As adults, we are capable of disagreeing with one another without resorting to name calling and personal attacks. You are mistaken if you believe that your perceived need to defend Schumacher's record/reputation/etc somehow excuses such behavior. In fact, it's terribly pathetic when the only argument that one can make in defense of his opinion is "Your (sic) a Wanker, lol." Any further inappropriate behavior will will result in bans.
I think that Senna had a lot of motivation for doing what he did in that race. Firstly, there was the incident 12 mos earlier at the same track. Secondly, there was the perceived favoritism by Ballestre toward Prost (another Frenchman). And, thirdly, it really didn't make any sense why he was forced to start on the dirty side of the grid after qualifying on pole position. He had the sense that the FIA was conspiring against him and a lot of people believed he was correct. You connect all of those together with his already emotional/driven nature and it's very easy to see that their race would not continue beyond the first quarter.
In my opinion, Senna was the most ruthless driver and WC. With that being said, I also believe that he was simply the culmination of what the F1 drivers had been doing since the 70's. Schumacher was merely a by-product of the type of driving style and ultimate competitiveness that was "taught" to him by the great drivers and personalities of the 80's. Just like Senna learned what it takes to be a WC from the other WC before him. I think it is extremely important to say that all great drivers are aggressive and ruthless because that is simply the nature of the beast. However, let's not forget that they are also able to back up that competitiveness nature with amazing talent, and that is what makes them stand out and be in the conversation of being one of the greatest. I will also like to add that in my opinion, the OP has shown an extremely poor judgment by create this thread at this time, especially after his participation in the other thread. While the moderators are right in that the OP did not break any forum rules, but it is not hard to see that this thread should be shutdown and deleted out of respect, not because he is Michael Schumacher, but because it is the decent thing to do.
