who is the best leather upholstery in LA area?

I'm sure you will hear shortly about a guy named Fernando. He does a lot of exotics and is supposed to be very good. Should be any minute now.

I have used his services on two different Ferraris to replace seats to brand new (leather and foam). I have never been to his location but both Ferrari of BH and Premier Body Shop sent my seats to him as they said he was best, and I was very happy with results and pricing was fair.

Can you believe how uniform those shelf diamonds are, no matter where they go? I stop by their shop regularly after having my Mondial t done, just to say hi and look at the current projects in house.

I really do understand your hesitation to just jump at the first open door. But, in the case of Fernando's work on a "Fine" car (or your Nissan with a torn seat cover), you will not be disappointed. A whole Sh!tload of people will agree with that statement

Its all new leather. No re-dying at all.

BTW. Don't bother with another shop unless you don't want the best work.

 

Jess - Fernando replace my tan carpet with black through-out. Put the quilted shelf in (used to be carpet). Added the dayton inserts and completely touched up the rest of the seats (look brand new now) and made the best floor mats I have seen.

Don't let the shabby looking shop fool you. He will take car of your car. (he is not the fastest in the business either).

Tell him I sent you.

I just picked up a 2010 Bentley Cont GTC with 14k miles and to my dismay on delivery the driver seat leather is wrinkly...does it just need to be restretched?

While it doesn't appear perfect - it is leather - I don't think it needs repair either. Why not just enjoy the car, see what happens once the weather warms up? Maybe even use it as a reminder of how you saved $100K by not buying it new

 

Funny you should mention, my wife called me upon delivery of the car and asked, why is the interior so old? When I looked at it, I thought it looked fine.
It does appear loose and saggy but the actual condition is not bad.
So the question is if it can be stretched or higher density foam perhaps?

Fernando has always been held in the highest regard by everyone and not only has he done excellent work on my cars and others, he even refurbished my Scatolo del Tempo watch winder for me!

 

I've contacted them and will see what they can do. Sent him some photos and appears the seat needs more foam to prevent the leather sagging.

Update, I was able to have Prestige (Carlos) work on my driver seat of the Bentley. He took the seat apart and basically put new foam in it. Here's a quick before and after...thought he did a good job.
Took him near 4 hours, so unfortunately didn't get to the passenger seat (which isn't that bad anyhow). I'll be bringing it back to him to do the passenger side later.
