Anyone know where you can purchase the Whirlpool Gladiator Garageworks products in Canada? Preferably the Toronto area. Thanks.

I did call them. They gave me 3 companies, 2 of which I managed to get in touch with and they only carried the trash compactor, not the cabinets. The 3rd company did not answer their phone, so I left a voice mail.

I just thought maybe some fellow F-Chatters may have seen these products in one of the local stores.

    Clax,

I did a "zip code" search for an address in Buffalo, since Canadian postal codes don't work on their site. Obviously not where you are looking, however, the search turned up Sears. Maybe call Sears Canada, and see if they can bring it in here as a special order, if they don't already have it here.

Also seems that Whirlpool is the owner of the Gladiator name. A phone call into Whirlpool Canada might be in order.

Let us know. Looks like some cool looking stuff they have.

It looks like there are three distributors within 30 miles of zip code 14203 (downtown Buffalo, where I work). The addresses & companies are as follows:

    Kitchen World Distributing, Inc.
    6348 Robinson Road (RT 93)
    Lockport, NY 14094
    716-434-5606

    Orvilles
    3979 Walden Avenue
    Lancaster, NY 14086
    716-656-5087

    Kitchen World Distributing
    5879 Transit
    Lockport, NY 14094

Let me know if you would like to place a couple of calls to see what's in their inventory.

    Andrew

    Hi
I recall at the Home Show this year there was a vendor from Quebec who sold this line.

Interesting. There is the Fall Toronto Home Show this weekend, maybe I'll pay a visit to see if anyone has it there.

Also, I called Sears in Canada, and they indicated that they do not currently carry the product. The product looks pretty sweet, I'm surprised that it's so difficult to find in Canada.

Apex, thanks for offering to make the calls. At this point, I want to see the product in person before placing an order. But, I may take you up on your offer after I see the product. Thanks again.

As an alternative, you might want to try PremierGarage (www.premiergarage.com). The only location in Canada right now is in Calgary. I prefer the look of their cabinets. They are more "residential looking" than the Gladiator cabinets. Lots of options such as stainless steel door finishes and full stainless steel countertops as well. The advantage of this solution is the fact that the base cabinets are hung off the floor for easy cleaning and most importantly away from moisture that can destroy your toekicks. The cabinets are heavily built so they can be installed this way. Normal cabinets cannot be hung without toekicks or legs.

If you ask nicely, you can probably order the cabinets without the doors. This way, you can get your own doors and side cover panels. There are lots of inexpensive alternatives such like those from IKEA's kitchen line. They have a glossy red in their ABSTRAKT line that works especially well for a red Ferrari. Add some nice hardware and you have some very nice garage cabinets.

PremierGarage is doing an install for me in the next few weeks and the prices are very reasonable in comparison the cheaper cabinets that you can buy at HomeDepot. I'm sure they will ship the cabinets to you in TO so that you can install them yourself.

    Hamptons,

Thanks for the tip on Premier. I checked out the website, and although I like the look of the product, I want to avoid any product with wood/melamine. I tend to use the hose in the garage, and any moisture on wood/melamine will be a problem. I am primarily interested in steel, which Gladiator is. Thanks.
