I think the original 16 inchers look the best. I polished the rim of my stock wheels and they look awesome... and I don't have to worry about blowouts in the NYC potholes.

Since the stock 360 wheels fit on a TR, can somebody photoshop some BBS Challenge wheels onto a TR? It would be interesting to see.

Yup, there's definitely no problem with the stock rims, they still look classic. Although I do feel the 512TR wheels still complement the original TR, while "updating" the car.

Nice TR in your profile- is that original paint?

I don't have photoshop, but you mean these wheels? They will fit on a TR, without spacers?

Yes, they fit and look pretty cool. Reading one of the older threads they mentioned that the rear 360 wheels stick out a little further than the TR wheels, and the BBS Challenge wheels are 1/2 inch wider than the stock 360 wheels so there might be a little rub on the rear wheel arches.

Yep, I have to admit those 360 deals look pretty sweet on the TR, too. Are they 18 or 19 inch? And, can you fit some nice red brembos underneath?

18 inch wheels and I'm fairly certain you could fit some pretty massive Brembos on there with the additional clearance. I'm not a TR owner but I believe so.

Old thread but what level of improved handling could I expect if fitting the 512TR wheels?

512 TR WHEELS. You should use 512 wheels. They are wider in the rear than the 355 and look much better. All require spacers. I bought 512 wheels for
    mine.

Do the 512 wheels improve the hanging by a lot?

Definitely 512 TR wheels not 355’s. 355 wheels look completely wrong on a TR in my opinion. I can see it immediately.

Huge improvement! Ride quality is still excellent but the tire is much lower profile and keeps the car planted through corners.

Do it. Make sure they have never been damaged and repaired. There are also replicas vs factory OEM which I believe have a stamp on the inside on the back of the spokes. The replicas are not worth as much and are not as high quality from what I remember. Euro spares in the UK can give you some insight on this. I bought one of the last OEM sets they had a few years back.

Thank you .. how much do you think they are worth with new tyres, spacers and bolts?
