Kudos for mentioning the Allante. A seriously flawed concept (I owned one of the first ones) , but really not horrible in execution and especially nice by the time GM killed it. One of my favorite American cars. My daily driver is one of the last Northstar models and I agree that they will be more loved in the future than now. Though the Northstar models have retained their value much better than the earlier cars, they have begun depreciating again. A very nice one is under $20k...a nice non-Northstar is under $10k. Audi ur-quattros are still unloved despite costing nearly as much as a 308 and introducing AWD to rally and to the street (I know Jensen was first on the street, but it was a moderately unsuccessful introduction.) Even one of the 73 1985 models imported to the US is still under $10k (I sold mine in a fit of frustration for $8k a few years ago...) The Sport quattro models are highly prized, but still well under $100k in the US. I predict this is the Stratos of the next decade. And I think that a numbers-matching Yenko Stinger Corvair will bring huge money. Well, maybe not compared to the overall inferior and much more common Shelby Mustang, but comapred to Corvairs overall. In the past decade alone these have over doubled in value. I also think the last of the SAAB 900 turbo convertibles from 1994 and earlier will be recognized as the last of the breed before GM ruined the platform (or saved it depending on your point of view.) Nice manual trans versions of these are already selling higher than the next generation models. Bill

I guess you didn't like the 1996 GTS Coupes that were the Indy 500 Pace Cars... I think that the forged piston GTS's will be worth more than the creampuff cast ones... other than the last run that they called the Final Editions with the red with white stripes. Brad
It's already in the 200-250k euros right now (which is barely an increase compared to 5 years ago)... and the McLaren F1 takes the throne for supercar of the 90s and all the publicity and desirability that comes along ... but I still love the EB110 more. The GT more than the SS, actually. I'm hoping their prices don't jump until I can afford one. After that, they can go up, down, I won't care.
One rare German Bugatti http://www.racecarnewmedia.co.uk/modenacars/stockdetail.asp?VehicleID=63 Here's a VERY rare one. Another German Bug, a Brabus EB110 GT http://mobile.de/SIDTpHQdMS3jU3DDDbImBziZw-t-vaNexlCsAsCsK%F3P%F3R~BmSB11Iindex_cgiJ1115712965A1Iindex_cgiD1100CCarX-t-vctpLtt~BmPA1A1B20B16y-t-vCaMkSeVb_X_Y_x_y~BSRA6D1100D4350CPKWHinPublicA2A0A0A0/cgi-bin/da.pl?bereich=pkw&top=8&id=11111111158755859& IMHO Bugatti EB110 GT is still priced OK at Euro 210k+, but the EB110SS is very expensive. Here's one: http://mobile.de/SIDTpHQdMS3jU3DDDbImBziZw-t-vaNexlCsAsCsK%F3P%F3R~BmSB11Iindex_cgiJ1115712965A1Iindex_cgiD1100CCarX-t-vctpLtt~BmPA1A1B20B16y-t-vCaMkSeVb_X_Y_x_y~BSRA6D1100D4350CPKWHinPublicA2A0A0A0/cgi-bin/da.pl?bereich=pkw&top=13&id=11111111155515948& I personally would prefer EB110 over Veyron since the latter is too much hyped in the last 3 years and not produced yet. Too much talk and no proof. It is too expensive at 1.3 Million Euros. Better buy a Mac F1 for anything above 1 Million Euros.
I thought about those as well. The convertible 3000GT VR4TT is very rare and today sells for nearly twice what the coupe does.
