Can you provide more details with that i.e. prone to sensor problems? 328 = oranges and the t = apples.
I didn't question the guys at Universal. I'm repeating what I was told... if I elaborate I'll be talking without knowing.
I don’t throw any codes with my set up. These cars are sensitive to proper cam timing. I suppose that many of those thermocouples are not defective and throwing errant codes, and the bank that’s throwing the code is doing so do to excessive heat as a result of incorrect timing.Melted cats breakaway and clog further exacerbating the problem. Yes the photo I posted shows them at about $1950 US dollars. That’s pretty good. I emailed the guy and he confirmed the price. Have not found out how much shipping would be though.
I have the Tubi on my 89 Mondial T... it sounds good but the Capristo I had on my 86 Mondial coupe was amazing.. much better sounding and louder.
Test pipes and non-loud Tubi installed. No codes so far. Tried to upload a video, but says it can't be .mov or mp4. Geno
Hey Geno, I bet our cars were shop mates at NJB. Jack just did my pipes and tubi during my major on my T this summer. Are you the one from KY that just bought it? I am in LOVE with my car again.......Sounds incredible
Yes, sir. Yours was on the lift when I first came to see it. When yours left, Jack and Kevin said it was the best Mondi they ever heard. I'm counting on the same result. I'm about hoping to pick it up Saturday. JLF, I'm working on a sound clip. Geno
Hey, Brian. Did you get the fabspeed pipes and non-loud Tubi? Thrown any codes? Mine's still at Jack's. Hope to get it Saturday. Geno.
Ordered the “loud” version today. Hope it’s to my liking. Kind of scary spending that much without hearing it first. Do you guys know if I need any extra gaskets or anything or does it bolt right on?
Going from OEM can to a performance can gives the Coupe a very noticeable performance gain. The sound and feel I'm sure will be addicting. Your 3.4L will wake up and come alive! I would go with new pre and post cat gaskets. This way you get a good seal from new.
Thanks Allen. I didn’t even consider performance gains so that will be a bonus. I was simply looking for a sound improvement.
You'll discover how heavy the stock can is compared to the new Tubi. So less weight in the rear. The lighter can will dissipate the heat much better as well. The stock can stays hot for a long time after a good drive. Another noticeable gain is how much quicker the engine will spin up on acceleration. The sound will seem loud at first compared to stock but worth it to turn up the volume of Ferrari. You may find yourself a bit more throttle happy.
For those of you who have a Tubi, does it drone or buzz at highway cruising speeds? Really looking to improve the sound when pushing it but for a cruise I'm trying to avoid something that gets annoying on longer drives. Any experience is appreciated.
Car is now a Ferrari. Best 2400 bucks I’ve ever spent ! It only took an hour and 15 minutes to swap mufflers out. Does anyone know? Those bolts with the springs on them that connect muffler to cats. Do they need to be tightened fully down or do you tighten just enough to keep the springs from fully compressing? Also I was looking at the parts diagram and there is supposed to be a spacer in there also connected to the bolt and spring assembly. Mine had none. Should I buy them?
