Got these from a cobbler in Luca Italy a few years ago. It took a few months for them to be made and delivered. I had to come back later in the day and talk with his daughter as she was fluent in English. What a story. Image Unavailable, Please Login

Every person ‘s foot is different, so I’m not knocking you. As sandals go, I’ve seen worse, but only found one pair of Columbias that were as comfortable. Wearing is believing. BTW, digging the spectators and watch.

He said they are seeking to expand their base by partnering with other companies that are also focused on American made products. Hence the connections with the jeans, eyewear, watch manufactures, etc. Also based on the current inventory, it seems they are planning to reduce the number of shoes they make for other brands e.g. Ralph Lauren, Mossimo, Brooks Brothers, etc. (This is my observation. The manager did not say this.) He did say they have several new shoes coming out. Overall, my gut is they haven’t seen their client base expanding and are trying to attract new buyers. I DID NOT get the sense that they were desperate or planning to move production off shore. Just trying to maintain their traditions while modernizing parts of their lineup to stay relevant. Proud to say I limited myself to one pair of shoes.
Really, REALLY, hope some of you were able to cash in on the big sale at Allen Edmonds this weekend. I bought a pair of $400 boots for $145 and a pair of $350 Madison Parks for $88, yes really $88.
Wolverine 1000 Mile boots. I've wanted a pair forever, my son gave them to me for Christmas. They're damn nice. I really need to get off of my blue suede kick, this is maybe my 5th pair.... Image Unavailable, Please Login
I wore them back in the day when they were the coolest shoes any kid could have. I'm going to order the red ones one of these days.
Thanks for the heads-up on the sale. I have their emails going to spam - they send way too many. No great deals for what I wanted but I did get a new pair with a returning customer type discount.
If there’s no salt out, I’m going to wear my bespoke shoes from Perry Ercolino. Matt Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
