Just thought this would be an interesting question name one car that you think is the ultimate girl magnet. i love ferraris but sometimes they lose out to other cars for the sheer 'girl-magnet' factor. i mean honestly (no offense to any girls here) most girls wouldnt really know or care about 'heritage', 'pedigree', 'handling' etc. i think the types of cars that are real babe magnets are those that scream for attention, like a Lamborghini Murcielago. ferrari owners frown on this a lot, but you cant deny it is true to an extent. so which car do u think is the best in this aspect? feel free to relate any personal experiences too
The ultimate chick magnet is probably a VW Beetle convertible I could drive a Mini S convertible which is also a chick magnet but the VW is just too much estrogen for me Most women just dont like exotic cars or are totally clueless about them We all know that what exotics really attract is small boys I remember as a boy how I'd go crazy over exotics, still do
I have heard that an Audi TT convertible is a real chick magnet. Women are attracted to car that they would like to own and drive. Patrick
have a look at this thread for an idea http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=109338 looks like in the UK at least an M3 or Merc SL "out pulls" a Ferrari
I read a poll somewhere that stated that BMW M3 drivers get layed the most probably bcus they are young & have $ & style
Audi TT Mini Cooper BMW M3 Convertible Mercedes SL500 Porsche Boxster...maybe? (Not a car but...) Mercedes G-Wagon
I would figure anything being driven by the likes of Matthew McConaughey (sp?) or Owen Wilson. For most women, I don't think the car matters so much. That said, I always got more looks in my Jeep Wrangler than ANY other vehicle I've driven.
yeah, exotics don't attract women much. most of the looks i've gotten in the TR are from guys. good thing i didn't buy it for getting chicks! john
depends what kind of "chicks" your trying to attract. I'm sure many a chick is attracted to a corvette. My kind would be most impressed with a mercedes.
Depends on the woman, some may like a riced out Eclipse, some a SUV, some a exotic, Lambo doubt it, tries too hard and women hate desparation. A nice car in itself won't get you women if you have bad game but if you do it will help.
37 years ago I met my wife. I was driving a 62 VW BUg. If you want to meet a keeper that's what I recommend.
Real top quality chicks (10 in looks) want a luxury sedan, S-Class preferably or Quattroporte even more, since they don't want to have any hair issues(convertibles) ,getting in or out problems or make-up complications because of poor A/C.
Henry N. Manney III wrote that the Jag E-Type was the 'greatest crumpet collector' (chick magnet) known to man. Neil
E-type: "the greatest crumpet collector known to man" - Henry N. Manney III (edit: great minds run in the same gutter. ) My Alfa Spider (even in its unrestored state) still gets more attention from females than the Ferrari. Maybe because these cars look like flying carpets. (Sheherazade? Djinn and tonic?) But it's ironic that the generation of women who were attracted to convertibles didn't want to ride in them, without wrapping their heads like laurence of arabia. While they didn't want to ride in them on dates, many Alfas were lost, in the 60s and 70s, to having girlfriends wheedle you into letting them drive it -- without a driving course first. (These cars are pretty flexy -- they can be a handfull.) (No open-sesame for traffic.) Okay, so that's among older women, these days. Today's females have a chip on their shoulders about the term "chicks". I suspect the bulk of younger females -- like many younger males -- don't know or care anything about automobiles. If you have enough wings and stickers, it'll be "hot", among the groupie set. For the mercenary majority, anything that screams money in plain language -- so, ironically, a Roller would be out, because many of the younger golddiggers wouldn't recognize it. It's vaguely depressing to think that a $20K Countach replicar would probably get more attention from younger golddiggers than a $6M 250GTO. Or maybe that's just poetic justice.
Presuming they have enough experience to know these things: either older women, or models that started at age 8. It would be very politically incorrect (but maybe not all that inaccurate) to say, "By the time women really know what they want, they're too old to get it.".
Oddly, my 02 BMW 3 coupe was my most "successful" car. Excluding the women on this site who actually own and know a lot about Ferraris, I'd guess women tend to look at cars as fashion accessories. The BMW is a nice brand name, has a back seat for potential offspring, and isn't outlandishly styled - conservative and clean cut, like a well-tailored suit. Girls were indifferent to my 911/993. I once gave a girl a ride back to her car after we had met for drinks, and she couldn't even manage "nice car". Guys loved it. The Ferrari is still new-ish to me, but as posted above it's loud, the a/c is a joke, it's not a new car, reliability isn't a given, and it's a rolling attention magnet. Aston-Martin would probably be better. Not as hard-edged, ultimate in class, James Bond association, etc. Until it boils over for the third time in a week...
I would say a high end BMW, like a M5 or something. the Beetle convertible is also attractive to them, although I don't think they would be attracted to the driver of the Beetle. BT
the 2000 Z3 (mmmmm, quadruple black) was a little TOO effective... according to my wife. interestingly enough... I no longer own it.... hmmmmmmm.
That sound you hear is Michael Jackson running to the phone to order a Ferrari....... Cars don't mean jack to chicks. You could put me in any rig and I'd still get the same level of action.......NONE. You just know the gay crowd just sits back and laughs at us straight morons from time to time.........to paraphrase Seinfeld.....I don't have the equipment, how can I compete with those who OWN the equipment?
hmmm. not quite the responses i expected, but interesting none the less. i always wondered what was it about the bmw3series that made them so attractive to girls. its all about the badge i guess. bmws represent money and power without being as intimidating as a ferrari or lambo. what really irks me sometimes is the way they go "oooo he drives a bmw!" and the car they are refering to is a 12yr old 316 (no offence to any 316 drivers. they wouldnt be able to tell the diff between a 316 or M3 i bet... i forgot about astons. i think they definately are up there, exuding money class, without being too in-your-face. i guess it depends on the crowd, no doubt there are the lambo types too. actually, i think the ultimate car (for chicks and me) is the Pagani Zonda F!
