Hi everyone, happy owner of an F8 but have been thinking about upgrading the engine compartment. Have looked through a lot of old posts and have heard good things about a few different companies but I’m still undecided. The two I see are from myricambi and exotic car gear. Does anyone have any experience with either? I want to avoid fitment issues and have a great quality upgrade. I have noticed that exotic car gear is quite a bit cheaper but I just don’t know enough about where to order who who to speak with. Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I used MyRicambi and have nothing but positive responses regarding the quality of their carbon fiber from the standpoint of matching Ferrari weave, fit, quality, service and shipping.

I tried Exotic Car Gear based on reviews and comments I found - and wanting to try and save some money. The overall fitment was okay, but the construction to match OEM was sorely lacking. I hear most non-OEM (and even OEM) CF parts require some finagling to make it work, but I can't say I was satisfied with the quality.

I got parts from a few different places including exotic car gear, and they were all great.

That being said myricambi had outstanding customer service and was the quickest. If they have all the parts you are looking for, I would get it from them.

Plus one for MyRicambi. Did the entire interior and engine bay of my old 458. There were some minor fitment issues with one of the interior pieces but they were super responsive.

I also had good experience with Exotic Car Gear for my old Aventador. Again … minor fitment issues but they were also great to work with.

If you want to avoid the risk of running into fitment issues, you will need to go OEM … but that’s obviously much more expensive.

I also used MyRicambi for 4 engine bay panels. Service was 10 out of 10, looks of the product were 9 out of 10, and overall fitment was 8.5 out of 10.

They will match the Italian made CF in quality. I put some extra heat resistance backing to give them extra heat protection.

You guys feel like you saved any significant amount of weight with this stuff? Or maybe even gained? Don't think the original plastic weighs very much...

It’s definitely WAY lighter. I picked up all my pieces in my arms when I got them and then after I took stock stuff off, I did the same and the stock plastic is much heavier for sure. Nothing you will ever notice in the drivability of the car and speed though. At least, I don’t
