275 GTB/4 Competizione
Yes, a truly beautiful car. First time I saw one on the street was in 1979. They were a lot more affordable then, for sure. . Image Unavailable, Please Login
I always prefer the 250 GT SWB Comp but the 275 comp sound absolutely fantastic...what a noise! They've really shot up in value in the last few years... That is absolutely stunning...!
Another car that was available in 1967 was the Javelin by American Motors. Here's an ad comparing the 67 Javelin to the Mustang. . Image Unavailable, Please Login
What a nice cross section of cars! I think I envy 'Nurburgring's choice the most, but I digress… The 1967 Plymouth B-Bodies were designed by Elwood Engels who left Ford for Chrysler after he designed the seminal Lincoln Continental. This is my bucket list car, a '67 Satellite convertible, which I'm lucky enough to own and drive the snot out of. 1/4 mile in a decent 15.49sec with its factory stock 383 automatic.. nuthin' but smooth velvety power. …and I'm not afraid to take the kids out for ice cream in it afterwards. Beautiful and a great road car! Mine's a little different. 1 of 1 Hemi Coronet. Image Unavailable, Please Login
What a POS, I love it!! Can you explain why it is 1 of 1 as I would love to know more. Oh and how dare you not post engine pics, for shame!
Two thumbs up. Steve! Looks like a '66. Great patina! Hardtop Coronets aren't the most uncommon Hemi cars.. so yes, love to hear more backstory on the 1-of-1, please. Cheers, - Art
Yes, a 66 Hemi Coronet. It was ordered in Hawaii to be a street racer. Radio/heater delete, mauve metallic with white painted roof and column shift. The Hemi emblems were removed from the fenders and it was turned loose on the local street scene. I was told it didn't lose a race for a year or two until the mighty Hemi threw a rod. The Coronet sat in an open covered car port for decades. When I purchased it, it appeared that it was a terminal case of rust. Interestingly, while the body suffered quite a bit, the frame, firewall, door jambs,floor/trunk pans, etc were perfect. The damage occurred from the salty air settling on the upper/side body surfaces. The car is all original and very low miles. I refurbished the brakes,suspension,fuel/cooling systems, trans, etc but left the body and interior in "as found" condition. The 426 is back in the car(a replacement for now) and it screams. The pic shows how nice the firewall is and gives an idea of how the original paint should appear. Quite a sleeper in its day.
