    Hello,

What websites are there in Europe where I can look for 365/400 for sale? I allready know www.mobile.de and some Dutch sites but surely there have to be more.

A little about myself: so far I've made some half-hearted attempts on saving for a 308 Dino or Mondial (to become a first time Ferrari owner). Recently I discovered the reason why I didn't really put myself behind it. The Dino or Mondial just don't do it for me. My fear is I would be disappointed with either and would compare them with my current fun car (an Impreza which I intend to keep besides the Ferrari).
It all came together when I discovered that the 365/400 is placed in the same price range as a Dino or Mondial. I think the 365/400 is much better looking and it has that V12! It would be a perfect addition to the Scooby which I can keep for track days and so on. The 365/400 would be for Grand Touring and club events.
My idea is that maintainance costs will be huge either way (308 or 400) compared to a normal car so I'm well aware and (financially) prepared for that.

My plan is to buy one in a year or three and in the meantime I would like to check out the cars for sale to have a tap on the prices and what you get for them.

    Many thanks in advance.

    Best regards, Peter

Try http://www.classicdriver.com/uk/1000.asp - there are 5 400/412s listed and 3 365 GT4 2+2s. Most of the cars are in Europe.

I think you'll probably find that the running costs for the 400 are much higher than for the 308, but if you've got the budget I would definitely go for it - there's nothing to beat the Ferrari V12 motor.

Good luck with your search - make sure you get a good one.

    Peter,

I agree with Aidan, the maintenance cost will most likely be higher on the 365/400. In my opinion it is worth it but, you should be aware of this going in.

Thanks for the advice. Needless to say I will have a good look into maintainance costs but am willing to put money into it. One needs a hobby to spend money on after all :)
Luckily I live close by a very reputed Ferrari specialist who can help me in this (and to steer me away from potential basket cases as well as to do a PPI).

    Best, Peter

Thanks, indeed I know them. Have been there a few times and the number of Ferraris and other exotics in their showroom is amazing.
