I cannot find replacement brake pads for our 2009 Gran Turismo 4.7S. Any help would be great - Thanks.

This seems to be a common problem for Gran Turismo owners. I have a 2014, and do not like the amount of brake dust the factory pads produce. While nobody seems to know a good source, I knew they had to be a common pad. Once I pulled the pads, it was easy to match them up. I like Hawk pads, in either the HPS (high performance street) or the Performance Ceramic. Both are low dust, with the Ceramic the lowest dust producer. The fronts are Lexus and Mercedes, while the rears are Gen II Viper front pads.

Front: Hawk HB616Z-607 for Ceramic, and HB616F-607 for HPS compound

Rear: Hawk HB194Z-570 for Ceramic, and HB194F-570 for HPS compound

I bought them both from Summit Racing for about $306 delivered.

These pads also fit 2008 Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione and I think Ferrari 599.

One more thing about the Hawk pads, the rears do not have the "notch" for the Pad Wear Sensors. Just carefully remove the old sensors ( they were designed to be "one time only" usage, so you will probably break the small tabs that hold them to the pad). Then zip tie them out of the way. All the sensor is a loop of wire that, when the pad wears, the rotor rubs through the soft plastic and cuts the wire, thus turning on the indicator light. With them tied out of the way, no indicator light and you have to just keep track of your pad wear like old times. I also tied the front sensors out of the way.

DWR46-do you know if it will fit the Gran Turismo model 4.7S? The closest I could find was over $600 which is just nuts (even by Ferrari standards). Thanks for any help!!!

ncjetskier: My car is a Gran Turismo S (4.7) 2014. I believe, but am not totally sure, that all the Gran Turismo's have the same brakes. The safest way to verify this would be to ask on the forum, and also to go to Hawk's website and download their catalog. The Maserati pads are on pages 149 and 204. You can then pull one of your front and rear pads and compare them to the drawings in the catalog.

ncjetskier: You could also call your nearest dealer and ask them if all the Gran Turismo's have the same calipers.

DWR46-Thanks for answering both posts - this is VERY good to know, as these pads are expensive. Again, thanks for all the help.

No, the 4.7 S model needs different brake pads than standard GranTurismo.
